Join us at Brooks Automation and be a part of a dynamic organization that is shaping the future of technology.\nShipping / Materials CoordinatorJob Description\nWe are looking for a Shipping / Materials Coordinator to help accelerate our growth journey.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO:\nProcess and coordinate shipments, both domestic and international, using Oracle Cloud.\nAct as backup shipping resource, becoming the primary shipping resource as needed.\nUtilizes knowledge of receiving and/or distribution and packaging equipment in order to perform a variety of materials handling tasks. \nUses judgment requiring location and storage of items, proper packaging, methods of movement of materials, and release of materials.\nEffectively works in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives.\nResponsible for performing the physical and / or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.\nPerforms a variety of coordinating, routing and material handling duties.\nUnpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.\nHandles a variety of packages and parts, lifting or moving 5-45 lbs. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.\nPrepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.\nExamines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. Emphasis on material coordination.\nVisually inspect for defects or damage per Quality Control documents. Support Quality Alert process for internal and external customer complaints, quality issues, corrective and preventative actions.\nWorks on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.\nUses judgment requiring location and storage of items, proper packaging, methods of movement of materials, and release of materials. Keeps accurate logs (both written and on computer).\nCoordinate and/or executes special projects as required by the Department. Responsible for conducting daily cycle counts to maintain accurate inventories.\nEnsure internal shipments/Kitting is accurate and free of damage.\nMaintains a clean, neat and orderly work area. Proactively identify and report safety and complaint concerns. Finish work in a timely manner\nExpected to contribute to the development of techniques, processes, and practices that advance the effectiveness of the organization or function.\nWHAT YOU'LL BRING:\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in a material handling role in a warehouse setting.\nMinimum of 2 years of processing shipments in an ERP system experience preferred.\nMinimum of 2 years of Oracle experience is preferred.\nBasic math and PC skills.\nStrong attention to detail, reading, writing, basic arithmetic skills required and ability to follow procedures and safety protocols.\nLifting or moving of 5 to 45 lbs.\nAbility to utilize material handling equipment to move materials (like pallet jack).\nCompensation\nBase Salary Range: $23.93 USD to $32.37 USDFactors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.\nThis position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.\nBenefits\nAt Brooks, we offer the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\nMedical, Dental, Vision and Disability Insurance\n\n401(k) Plan\n\nNon-exempt employees are provided company-paid holidays and PTO, which combines vacation and sick time consistent with applicable law.\n\nHave a question about our benefits and compensation package?
