Join us at Brooks Automation and be a part of a dynamic organization that is shaping the future of technology.\nSystems Software EngineerJob Description\nThe qualified candidate will work with a team of software and hardware engineers in supporting industry leading vacuum system platforms including cutting-edge designs, next-generation controls, product extensions, and continuous improvements to system throughput and performance.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO:\nResponsibilities include developing next-generation controls software, verifying its design, and testing its quality on various vacuum systems and components to which it has been deployed. \nWill also be responsible for streamlining or automating configuration, calibration and testing vacuum components, as well as the development of routines for automatic data collection and analysis.\nWill include supporting Manufacturing and developing/maintaining/releasing process documentation. \nMay include motion control tuning, characterizing servo performance and stability, and characterizing payload vibration\nWHAT YOU’LL BRING:\nWe are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on engineer with broad capabilities in electromechanical systems who possesses:\nBSEE / BSCS or similar with a minimum of 5 years of experience OR MSEE / MSCS or similar with a minimum of 3 years of experience.\nMinimum of 2 years of C++ or C# programming expertise.\nExperience with electro-mechanical systems preferred.\nExperience with EtherCAT, gRPC, Python, PLCs, RTOS preferred.\nRelated coursework, experience or research in controls, and/or dynamic systems, or robotics.\nAbility to learn complex systems quickly and work independently.\nGood troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent technical communication and presentation skills.\nCompensation\nBase Salary Range: $105,593.46 USD to $142,861.74 USDFactors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.\nThis position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.\nBenefits\nAt Brooks, we offer the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\nMedical, Dental, Vision and Disability Insurance\n\n401(k) Plan\n\nExempt employees are provided company paid holidays and Flexible Vacation to enjoy personal time off and incidental sickness.\n\nHave a question about our benefits and compensation package?
