This role is ideal for a strong software engineer-particularly someone with a Java, DB2, and SQL background -who is interested in expanding their experience into Generative AI and modern AI application development. You will work closely with architects, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and support scalable AI-powered applications that leverage enterprise data and cutting-edge AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs). The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software engineering, be comfortable working with data, and demonstrate a genuine curiosity and willingness to learn and adopt new AI technologies. This position offers hands-on opportunities to work with Python, LangChain, LangGraph, LLMs, RAG, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, MCP, Kubernetes, and OpenShift, while leveraging your existing software development and database experience. develop, and support enterprise applications incorporating AI and Generative AI capabilities\nApply strong software engineering principles using Java, Python, or similar programming languages\nQuery, analyze, and work with enterprise data using SQL and DB2\nBuild APIs, microservices, and integrations that support AI-powered applications\nLearn and utilize AI frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph to develop agent-based applications and workflows\nIntegrate Large Language Models (LLMs) through platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, or similar services\nDevelop and support Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows and data integrations\nExplore and implement emerging AI technologies, tools, and frameworks\nCollaborate with architects, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions\nSupport testing, troubleshooting, monitoring, and production deployments\nDeploy and support containerized applications in Kubernetes or OpenShift environments\nContribute to development standards, reusable frameworks, and engineering best practices\nSupport the adoption of AI observability tools such as LangSmith, Langfuse, Arize, or Datadog\nParticipate in building multi-agent AI applications and integrating Model Context Protocol (MCP) and other AI tool integrations\nAssist in deploying or hosting open-source LLMs using vLLM or similar technologies\nEnsure compliance with industry regulations and best practices, especially when building enterprise applications in regulated industries\nWHAT YOU BRING\n3+ years of professional software development experience\nStrong experience with Java, Python, or another object-oriented programming language\nStrong SQL skills with the ability to independently query, join, filter, aggregate, and troubleshoot data\nExperience working with DB2 or other relational databases; DB2 experience strongly preferred\nStrong understanding of APIs, microservices, enterprise applications, and software engineering best practices\nDemonstrated interest in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, LLMs, or emerging AI technologies\nWillingness and ability to learn Python and modern AI development frameworks\nExperience working within Agile software development teams\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues\nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field preferred\nPreferred Experience:\nExperience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI/agent frameworks\nExperience working with LLMs or Generative AI applications\nExperience with AWS Bedrock, Azure
