This hybrid role is based in Columbia, SC, and focuses on application enhancements, production support, testing coordination, and deployment activities for critical Medicaid systems. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of application enhancements and operational support. This is a 12-month contract position with the potential for extension.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications utilizing COBOL and JCL\nAnalyze business and technical requirements and translate them into system modifications and enhancements\nSupport MMIS-related initiatives and ongoing maintenance efforts for Medicaid applications\nParticipate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support\nCoordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for system changes and enhancements\nAssist with moving application changes through testing environments and into production\nTroubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolution of production incidents\nCollaborate with DHHS business users, Clemson teams, and other technical resources to ensure successful solution delivery\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, test results, and implementation artifacts\nWHAT YOU BRING\nStrong experience developing and supporting applications using COBOL\nExperience creating and maintaining JCL\nSolid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies\nExperience supporting application testing, UAT activities, and production deployments\nExperience troubleshooting and resolving production issues in an enterprise environment\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities\nAbility to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders\nExperience supporting Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) (preferred)\nExperience within healthcare, government, or large enterprise environments (preferred)\nMainframe experience with technologies such as DB2, CICS, VSAM, or IMS (preferred)\nSQL and data analysis experience (preferred)\nExperience supporting batch processing environments (preferred)\nFamiliarity with change management and release management processes (preferred)\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)\n5+ years of professional experience with COBOL development and support in a mainframe environment\nExperience
