Tasks will include both field assignments and office assignments, with most field assignments located in New Jersey. Field assignments will vary in duration and generally include Site inspections, sampling, remedial system O&M, and construction oversight. Office assignments include report and drawing production, preparation of permit applications, data management, contractor bidding/procurement support, and review of contractor submittals.\nThe Associate Remediation Engineer role will work under the general supervision of Professional Engineers and Subject Matter Experts to receive on-going training and guidance related to technical tasks. An ideal candidate will be receptive to receiving mentorship and then comfortable working autonomously to complete assigned tasks. This role will also involve frequent collaboration with teams consisting of a variety of technical disciplines in order to solve complex problems and implement the solutions.\nThis role has ample opportunity for growth and increased responsibility, particularly if the candidate is interested in pursuing more technical/design-oriented tasks, project management and client relation tasks, or a combination of both.\nResponsibilities\nConduct remedial investigations and feasibility studies under supervision. \nAnalyze environmental data to identify contamination levels. \nEvaluate and recommend remedial technologies and alternatives. \nImplement groundwater and soil treatment remedies. \nAssist in the creation of detailed remedial action plans. \nPrepare and deliver technical presentations to internal stakeholders. \nFlexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs. \nMentorship\nMay provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles. \nSkills and Competencies\nProficiency in conducting remedial investigations and feasibility studies. \nAdvanced data analysis and interpretation skills. \nKnowledge of various remedial technologies and alternatives. \nSkilled in implementing groundwater and soil treatment remedies. \nAbility to assist in the creation of detailed remedial action plans. \nStrong technical writing and presentation skills. \nProblem-solving and critical thinking abilities. \nExperience\nTypically, a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area is required. \nExperience in preparing and delivering technical presentations. \nTypically certified in the SMS Framework, and progressing through the SMS competencies. \nEducation\nTypically, a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or a related field is required. \nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExperience with environmental media sampling \nOSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER Training, or similar knowledge of H&S protocols for environmental/construction sites\nAutoCAD and GIS experience\nExperience preparing and reading engineering drawings\nTechnical writing experience\nSalary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
