This role is client focused and will assist in ensuring that the project aligns with the owner's vision, goals, and objectives while adhering to budget, schedule, and quality standards. The role will help Owners select project delivery methods, attend market sounding and outreach, develop Request for Qualifications and Proposals, review responses, assist legal teams with contract documents and negotiations, review pricing proposals and oversee construction contracts performing risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies through start-up and commissioning.\nResponsibilities\nCollaborate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.\nDevelop and customize RFQ and RFP documents for procurement activities using various collaborative delivery methods.\nSupport owners/clients in performing reference checks during RFQ and RFP submittal reviews. Assist with managing and negotiation of contracts effectively while adhering to organizational norms.\nSupport strategic implementation plans for new projects and programs.\nSupport owners/clients in design-builder contract compliance and services during construction.\nContribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies.\nUphold a client-focused approach to handle small projects with limited supervision.\nSupport project planning and scheduling, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.\nFlexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.\nMentorship\nMay provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.\nSkills and Competencies\nFoundational understanding of project/program management techniques.\nExcellent collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.\nUnderstand contract management and negotiations.\nAbility to develop strategic implementation plans and manage procurement documents.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation.\nAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment and the ability to multi-task.\nExperience\nTypically, a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.\nPrior experience managing medium, straightforward projects.\nExperience as part of a team implementing collaborative delivery methods and best practices.\nExperience in assisting contract management and negotiation.\nPreferred Experience\nProfessional experience of 15 years or more in the study, design, and construction of municipal water and wastewater facilities is preferred.
