We provide nationwide settlement and compliance solutions designed to help clients resolve claims more efficiently, maintain compliance, and manage settlement costs. Core services include Medicare Set-Aside arrangements, MSA administration, lien resolution, structured settlements, and Mandatory Insurer Reporting.\nThe Billing Specialist prepares and processes customer invoices for completed services, reviews billing information for accuracy, maintains supporting documentation, resolves billing discrepancies, and assists with related accounting and clerical functions. The position has no direct reports and requires no travel or driving for business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: \nPrepare and process customer invoices accurately and within established deadlines.\nReview customer information, service details, rates, and supporting documentation before issuing invoices.\nDistribute invoices and completed reports according to customer requirements.\nResearch and resolve billing discrepancies, rejected invoices, and customer questions.\nProcess credit memos, rebills, and billing adjustments with appropriate documentation and approval.\nMaintain accurate billing records and organized supporting documentation.\nAssist with billing reconciliations, month-end close activities, and management reports.\nCollaborate with Accounting, Operations, and customer-facing teams to resolve billing issues.\nIdentify recurring billing issues and recommend process improvements.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.\nTwo years of billing, accounts receivable, or accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy, including proficiency with alphabetic and numeric data entry.\nStrong written and oral communication skills.\nAbility to calculate figures, research discrepancies, identify causes, and follow issues through resolution.\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.\nAbility to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and use time efficiently.\nAbility to communicate billing and numerical information clearly and professionally to customers and teammates at all levels of the organization.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle customer and company information responsibly.\nSpeech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication for seven to eight hours per day.\nVision sufficient to use computer monitors for seven to eight hours per day.\nManual dexterity and upper-body range of motion sufficient to use a keyboard, mouse, and telephone for seven to eight hours per day.\nAbility to sit and/or stand at a workstation for seven to eight hours per day.\nAbility to work in an office environment with low to moderate noise levels and manage a moderate level of job-related stress.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.\nExperience with Workday Financials and MyConnect.\nTeammate Benefits & Total Well-Being\nWe go beyond standard benefits, focusing on the total well-being of our teammates, including:\nHealth Benefits: Medical/Rx, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance \nFinancial Benefits: ESPP; 401k; Student Loan Assistance; Tuition Reimbursement \nMental Health & Wellness: Free Mental Health & Enhanced Advocacy Services\nBeyond Benefits: Paid Time Off, Holidays, Preferred Partner Discounts and more. \nNot reflective of all benefits.
