At Nicolet National Bank, we believe that our people are our most valuable asset, and we are committed to investing in their growth and development.\nThe Data Solutions Engineer I is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines, integrations, and data platforms that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and business operations. Works with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to create reliable, scalable, and secure data solutions. Completes assigned project phases with limited supervision while continuing to build technical expertise and understanding of enterprise data architecture. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and available for decision-making.\nAs a Data Solutions Engineer I, you will:\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes that support enterprise data initiatives.\nIntegrate data from multiple internal and external systems into centralized data platforms and warehouses.\nMonitor and troubleshoot data workflows, pipelines, and integrations to ensure reliability, performance, and data quality.\nAssist in developing and maintaining scalable data models and architectures that support reporting, analytics, and operational processes.\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical data solutions.\nImplement and maintain data validation, reconciliation, and quality control processes.\nIdentify opportunities to improve data processes through automation, optimization, and standardization.\nSupport cloud-based and on-premises data environments, ensuring secure and efficient movement of data across systems.\nDocument data flows, processes, and technical solutions to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.\nParticipate in data governance efforts, including data lineage, metadata management, and compliance with organizational policies.\nWork across many different enterprise systems / processes while maintaining confidential information standards for company.\nUphold Nicolet’s philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.\nUnderstand and communicate the value of diversity within the workplace and to work successfully with others without regard to age, gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, culture, religion, disability status, socioeconomic status or other non-job-related classification, including a commitment to Nicolet’s policies on equal employment opportunities and non-discrimination with a willingness to pursue efforts of inclusion and respect toward different perspectives.\nPerforms all other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.\n1-3 years of experience in data engineering, software development, data analytics, or information technology preferred.\nExperience with SQL, data integration, cloud platforms, and data warehousing concepts preferred.\nExperience within the banking or financial services industry is a plus.\nAbility to maintain strict confidentiality and protect sensitive information.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills.\nUnderstanding of data engineering principles including ETL/ELT development, data modeling, and data integration.\nProficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.\nExperience with or ability to learn cloud data platforms, data warehouses, and data integration tools.\nExperience with Python, data transformation frameworks, and automation tools preferred.\nFamiliarity with data visualization and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI and Tableau.\nKnowledge of data governance, data quality, and information security best practices.\nAbility to troubleshoot technical issues independently and escalate when appropriate.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nBenefits:\nMedical, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance\n401(k) with a company match\nPTO & 11 1/2 Paid Holidays\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
