At Nicolet National Bank, we believe that our people are our most valuable asset, and we are committed to investing in their growth and development.\nThe Senior Data Solutions Engineer I is responsible for for the design, development, implementation, and optimization of enterprise data solutions that support business operations, analytics, regulatory reporting, and strategic decision-making. Serves as a senior technical resource for data architecture, integration, data quality, and platform modernization initiatives. Provides technical leadership across projects, mentors junior team members, and collaborates with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable data solutions that align with organizational goals.\nAs a Senior Data Solutions Engineer I, you will:\nPartner with Data Engineering leadership to design and implement enterprise data architecture, integration patterns, and data platform standards.\nDesign and implement scalable ETL/ELT processes that support operational, analytical, and regulatory data requirements.\nPartner with business leaders, analysts, architects, and technology teams to translate strategic business objectives into technical data solutions.\nAssist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new data technologies, tools, and best practices.\nMaintain enterprise data models, data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based data platforms.\nEstablish and enforce standards for data integration, data quality, documentation, governance, and security.\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and project teams, including code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex data integration, performance, and infrastructure issues.\nLead data migration and modernization initiatives involving cloud platforms, legacy systems, and enterprise applications.\nCollaborate with information security, compliance, and governance teams to ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and operational procedures.\nMonitor and optimize system performance, database performance, and data pipeline efficiency.\nServe as a subject matter expert for data integration, pipeline design, data modeling, and data platform best practices. \nParticipate in project planning, effort estimation, and prioritization of data-related initiatives.\nCommunicate technical concepts and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.\nSupport disaster recovery, business continuity, and production support efforts as required.\nUphold Nicolet’s philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and perspectives.\nPerforms all other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field required.\n5-8+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data solutions.\nAdvanced experience with SQL, data integration platforms, data warehousing, and cloud technologies.\nExperience leading large-scale data projects and cross-functional initiatives.\nExperience within banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industries preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.\nAdvanced knowledge of data engineering, systems integration, and enterprise data architecture.\nStrong expertise in SQL, dbt, database administration concepts, performance tuning, and query optimization.\nAdvanced experience designing and developing ETL/ELT frameworks and automated data pipelines.\nExperience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, Fabric, or Databricks.\nStrong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data lake architecture.\nExperience with orchestration, automation, and workflow management tools.\nKnowledge of data governance, metadata management, master data management, and data quality frameworks.\nStrong programming and scripting skills using Python, SQL, or related technologies.\nAbility to lead technical discussions, influence architectural decisions, and provide strategic recommendations.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a focus on root cause analysis.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.\nAbility to mentor, coach, and develop junior technical team members.\nAbility to troubleshoot technical issues independently and escalate when appropriate.\nStrong communication skills with
