At Nicolet National Bank, we believe that our people are our most valuable asset, and we are committed to investing in their growth and development.\nThe VP Portfolio Manager is primarily responsible for providing financial and investment guidance to Institutional and High-net-worth individual clients. Additionally, this position is a key member of the Investment Research team.\nAs a VP Portfolio Manager, you will:\nMaintain relationships and service existing client base.\nPerform proprietary investment research and due diligence. \nContribute knowledge and experience to the Wealth Investment Committee.\nConsult with clients to develop investment objectives and goals and provide financial services and advice accordingly.\nCreate Investment Policy Statement documenting objectives, risk tolerance, cash flow needs, tax situations and wealth aspirations for the Client.\nWork closely with the Trust Administrative Officers to manage the client relationship and ensure that all the needs of the investment accounts are met.\nKnowledge of investments and asset management strategies, products and services.\nStay abreast of market news and trends and current legal and tax consequences of investment decisions.\nDevelop referral sources throughout Nicolet.\nAdhere to all compliance issues associated with sales of investment services.\nOther related duties as assigned or requested.\nInterview clients to determine their current income, expenses, insurance coverage, tax status, financial objectives, risk tolerance, and other information needed to develop a financial plan.\nUse spreadsheets and market research to back up financial advice.\nReview accounts to determine if life changes necessitate new financial strategies.\nResponsible for the fiduciary investment compliance as well as corporate governance of the investment group.\nDevelop and maintain profitability by ensuring efficient and quality account administration.\nDevelop new account relationships through the community and professional visibility.\nMaintain knowledge of trust laws, rules, and statutes of regulatory agencies.\nIdentify and refer business to other areas within Nicolet as appropriate.\nComply with all federal, state and local regulatory rules and regulations governing financial institutions, as well as all Nicolet’s policies and procedures.\nRepresent Nicolet in community organizations and activities to enhance Nicolet’s image.\nUphold Nicolet’s philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.\nUnderstand and communicate the value of diversity within the workplace and to work successfully with others without regard to age, gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, culture, religion, disability status, socioeconomic status or other non-job-related classification, including a commitment to Nicolet’s policies on equal employment opportunities and non-discrimination with a willingness to pursue efforts of inclusion and respect toward different perspectives.\nPerforms all other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or equivalent experience at a financial institution. Graduate degree preferred.\n5+ years of investment experience preferred.\nCFA and CAIA designations preferred.\nSeries 65 or currently holds and is in good standing as a CFP, CFA, CIMA, ChFC, or PFS required.\nMotivated and driven self-starter.\nStrong analytical and detail orientated aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required.\nAbility to make professional presentations to clients, employees or other groups.\nMust exhibit good judgment and build credibility as trusted advisor with prospective and current clients.\nStrong organizational and follow-through skills; strong attention to detail.\nOngoing knowledge of state and federal securities regulations.\nOrganized and able to manage multiple priorities.\nPC, phone system, general office equipment.\nAttention to detail, ability to learn and use a variety of software.\nMicrosoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.\nMaintain composure and communicate clearly when under pressure.\nPossess a strong work ethic and be able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong level of comfort with PC, phone system, general office equipment. \nAbility to maintain strict confidentiality.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.\nBenefits:\nMedical, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance\n401(k) with a company match\nPTO & 11 1/2 Paid Holidays\nHiring Pay Range: $150,000.00 to $200,000.00 base plus annual bonus\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
