He/She is an ambassador of Bruker Nano Surfaces Metrology (BNSM) instrumentation and technology. Bruker Nano Surfaces Metrology manufactures the world's leading Atomic Forces Microscopes, Stylus profilers, Mechanical Testers, X-Ray Diffractometer and non-contact 3D optical microscope instrumentation. This technical role responsible for customer direct post-sale instrumentation and application support including: installation, user and application training, instrument diagnostics/fix, and post-sale applications support. Individual must be customer focused with a strong technical background enabling our customers to maintain their instrument at peak performance and maximize productivity for their intended use case.\nResponsibilities\nAs a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities include but not limited to:\nPerforms site surveys, pre-installation, installation of Bruker Semiconductor Metrology Tools for customers locally and internationally.\nProvide high level technical support to external customers at their location\nProvide on-­site training to the customers\nInterface with cross functional work teams such as field applications, customer support/services, product management, manufacturing and marketing/sales\nDevelop Service technical documentation\nCreate, develop, and continuously improve the customer support & applications knowledge database\nTimely and professionally handle field service calls and issues arising from the field service\nPerforms basic applications support of Bruker Semiconductor Metrology Tools for customers both domestic and international\nVisits, triage with field applications scientists as appropriate\nTimely complete and submit all required paperwork\nFlexible schedule to accommodate our customer’s needs\nEffectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines\nCommunicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective actions\nUp to 50% traveling required within Southeast Asia (at times with short notice)\nOther duties commensurate with the capabilities of a Field Service Engineer\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n90% Technical support (Diagnostics/troubleshooting/on-site/phone/e-mail/web-ex/SAP RMAs, etc.)\n10% Knowledge database development, delivery of training, basic application support and Escalation support (technical analysis, cross-functional engagement, plan of action, on-site support, etc…)\nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPre-sales support\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications\nTo be successful for this position, you shall possess:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualifications in electrical/ mechanical engineering or physical sciences. Masters or higher-level education is preferred. Metrology experience within Semiconductor Market an advantage.\n3 - 8 years of relevant Semiconductor industry experience, preferably metrology products and with hands on instrument experiences. \nExperienced with AAFM, AFM,X-ray and Optical profiler service experience or background in Technical Support preferred.\nWorking knowledge and ability to test and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical analog and factory Automation.\nWorking knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Ppowerpoint, Salesforce/SAP. \nCandidates with the relevant qualifications but with little or no experience are also welcome to apply.\nBruker is an equal opportunity employer.
