You will work at the intersection of imaging science, detector technology, calibration methodologies, software development, and system design, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams across R&D, product management, applications, operations, and service.\nYou will play a key role in defining, evaluating, and optimizing image quality for both current and next-generation platforms, including strategic development programs such as Hercules, Poseidon, and future successor systems. Your expertise will help translate emerging imaging technologies into robust, high-performance products that set new standards in the market.\nThis position offers a unique opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with cross-functional leadership while contributing directly to the innovation roadmap of a globally recognized technology company.\nDrive development of imaging methods, algorithms and workflows for future products.\nEstablish and execute imaging test methods, protocols, metrics and calibration procedures.\nDrive image quality improvement initiatives and root-cause investigations.\nDefine, review and maintain imaging-related product requirements and acceptance criteria.\nSupport defining imaging technology roadmaps and technical priorities.\nOwn imaging-related system architecture and technical trade-off decisions.\nSupport component selection and qualification of detectors, cameras and imaging subsystems.\nCoordinate and execute verification, validation and performance characterization activities.\nPrototype evaluation and technology feasibility studies.\nQualifications\n Diplom/ Master's degree in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Imaging Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.\nPhD considered a strong advantage. \n6+ years experience in scientific instrumentation, X-ray imaging or related field\nExperience leading technical projects and multidisciplinary teams\nExpert knowledge of imaging systems and image quality metrics.\nDetector, sensor and camera technologies\nExperimental design and root cause analysis.\nStatistical data analysis and imaging performance evaluation.\nCalibration methods and measurement uncertainty concepts.\nSystem integration and verification methodologies.\nProduct development processes and design reviews.\nRequirements engineering and technical specifications.\nExperience in regulated product-development environments. \nScientific software and data analysis tools (Python/Matlab equivalent).\nKnowledge of general software design/documentation
