We're replacing helicopters and motorbikes with drones that herd cattle, count herds, and monitor pasture on their own. Helicopter mustering is expensive, dangerous, and still misses cattle. Our drones launch from a dock, fly the paddock, do the work, and come home.\nWe went through YC (W26) and raised a seed round from the best investors in the valley. Our team is small and we're already working with some of the largest stations and farms in the world. We're a team of 6 and growing steadily, spanning computer vision, robotics, AI engineering and a Chief of Staff. We work hard because our graziers do.\nThe role\nYou will be the operational glue at Brumby. You will report to our Chief of Staff and work across every part of the business, from making sure a demo day on a cattle station runs without a hitch to keeping our internal systems working seamlessly and making sure new hires have a great onboarding experience.\nThis is a high-agency role. No two weeks will look the same, and there is no playbook. You will write it and then wherever you can, automate it. We want someone with real AI competency, who reaches for AI tools first and automates the repetitive parts of our operations so a small team can move like a much bigger one. We're a team of six, so you will work directly with the founding team every day. Moving quickly is key: what's below is what the next six months look like, and beyond that the role will change and evolve as Brumby grows. What you will own\nOperations\nDemonstration days: Coordinate our demonstration days, ensuring logistics are taken care of and our promotion of materials runs smoothly.\n\nCritical support: Support with first-line responses and triage, and build macros and help docs in Intercom. Utilise knowledge gained, and integrate into future demonstration day procedures and policies\n\nInformation services: Review and enhance our media management, asset library, field days and merchandise.\n\nInternal ops\nPeople ops: Support the Chief of Staff with the design and delivery of employee onboarding.\n\nEmployer brand and culture: Support the Chief of Staff in building a strong employer brand by organising industry days, developing people policies, and fostering a positive company culture.\n\nInternal systems and comms: Keep our communication tools, clean, up to date and working. Publish internal comms updates and help develop internal playbooks. Review and update these administrative and operational procedures, reporting to senior management where necessary.\n\nProvide regular reports to senior managements regarding administrative, operational, staff and other critical matters, that will factor into the Directors financial considerations and budgeting.\n\nConsider the resources currently at the company’s disposal, and provide insight into procedural enhancement which can support growth.\n\nWorkplace and logistics\nOffice management: Provide high level administrative and operational support, to ensure our office and team work efficiently and effectively.\n\nCorporate logistics: Manage and provide high-level administrative and physical support to the overall logistics for our current team, and prepare for scaleability.\n\nThird-party relationships: Manage the partners and stakeholders that keep Brumby running.\n\nWhat we're looking for\nWe care about high agency more than any specific credential.
