See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:\nPosition Overview:\nThe CNC Programmer - 2nd Shift will develop, optimize, and support CNC machining processes across a variety of machine tools. This role is responsible for creating efficient CNC programs, selecting tooling, troubleshooting machining issues, and partnering closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate is process-oriented, detail-driven, and passionate about improving throughput, quality, and manufacturability.\nAt Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.\nEssential Functions:\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and resolve machining and process challenges.\nDetermine appropriate speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies to support manufacturing operations.\nMaintain machine control parameters and provide technical support to maintenance personnel.\nIdentify, evaluate, and support the implementation of new tooling applications.\nPerform arithmetic calculations and develop parametric/variable-based programming solutions.\nCreate CNC programs for multi-turret lathes, mill-turn machines, 3- and 4-axis mills, and horizontal machining centers using both drawings and 3D models.\nDemonstrate programming processes and train entry-level programmers.\nMaintain accurate, complete, and organized programming documentation.\nDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.\nRequired Qualifications:\nAssociate’s degree (2-year technical program) in CNC Programming or a related field\nMinimum of 5 years machining experience, including performing set-ups\nMinimum of 2 years CNC programming experience\nAbility to develop multistage operations to improve throughput, reduce tooling costs, increase machine utilization, and enhance quality\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy\nAbility to communicate complex information clearly and professionally\nKnowledge of workholding and ability to advise on fixture design\nExperience with both CAD and CAM software\nStrong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T\nAbility to read and interpret CMM results\nKnowledgeable in various types of measurement devices\nSkilled in manual editing and troubleshooting of G- and M-code programs\nEagerness to learn and expand responsibilities\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment\nCapable of managing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously\nProven record of ownership, follow-through, and initiating improvements without being prompted\nAbility to train on 1st shift\nPreferred Qualifications: \nProficiency with Mastercam for CNC program creation\n5+ years programming a variety of CNC machine tools\nShop-floor support experience, including operator training and troubleshooting\nExperience with Mazak, Okuma, Tsugami, Junker, and Fanuc machine tools\nFamiliarity with machining aluminum, stainless steels, and alloy steels\nAbility to select cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and strategies aligned with machine capabilities and materials\nExperience with Mazatrol, G-code, CAM software\nExperience with Fanuc robots, automation systems, gantry loaders, bar feeders\nParticipation in continuous improvement initiatives\nWorking knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles\nExperience editing or updating CAM system post processors\nMacro B or parametric programming expertise\nThe hiring range for this position is $73,900 - $90,500 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.\nIn addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
