You will play a key role in transforming concepts into high-quality solutions that enhance the customer experience and support Brunswick's commitment to excellence.\nMake an Impact\nAs a Development Engineer, you will support the design, development, validation and integration of fiberglass, mechanical, electrical and structural systems for Venture Boat Group products.\nWorking closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing and Product Development teams, you will contribute throughout the entire product development lifecycle, helping to bring innovative products to market while ensuring quality, functionality, manufacturability and compliance requirements are achieved.\nThis role offers an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys technical problem-solving, product development and working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nYour Contribution\nIn this role, you will:\nDevelop 3D surface models for decks, liners and components to support 5-axis milling, tooling design and manufacturing activities.\nSupport the engineering and integration of fiberglass, structural, mechanical and electrical systems across new and existing boat platforms.\nDesign, engineer and validate complex hinges, mechanisms and components for supplier manufacturing using 3D models and technical drawings.\nComplete engineering activities for assigned boat areas, including fiberglass design, hardware development, mechanical system routing and electrical layouts.\nPerform final system design verification testing to ensure compliance with system specifications and performance requirements.\nCreate and maintain engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.\nSupport tooling development and manufacturing integration activities for new product launches.\nProvide accurate material and component specifications to support sourcing activities.\nCollaborate with suppliers in the development and continuous improvement of systems and components.\nEnsure designs meet functional, performance, quality and cost objectives.\nGenerate, review and approve Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) as required.\nParticipate in prototype development, testing and validation activities.\nSupport Manufacturing and Customer Service teams in resolving technical issues and field concerns.\nAnalyse warranty and product performance data to identify improvement opportunities.\nPrepare technical evaluations, reports and recommendations related to product performance and customer concerns.\nEnsure compliance with company standards, industry requirements and applicable domestic and international regulations.\nSupport Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and continuous improvement initiatives.\nParticipate in Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) reviews for new and existing products.\nEnsure engineering deliverables are completed on time and meet project requirements.\nApply customer feedback and systems engineering principles throughout the design and development process.\nWhat You'll Bring\nQualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or a related technical discipline.\nRelevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.\n1-3 years experience in marine product design preferred with knowledge of production processes.\nExperience with CAD software (Siemens NX preferred).\nExperience with SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo or Pro-E will also be considered.\nStrong 3D solid and free-surface modelling capabilities.\nWillingness to travel as required (minimum 10%).\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nFluent English.\nSkills & Competencies\nMechanical design and engineering fundamentals\nProduct development and validation\nCAD modelling and technical drawing creation\nTechnical problem-solving\nRoot cause analysis\nDesign for Manufacturing (DFM)\nEngineering documentation and change management\nAnalytical thinking\nAttention to detail\nCross-functional collaboration\nCommunication skills\nContinuous improvement mindset\nDecision-making skills\nQuality and customer-focused approach\nNice to have\nExperience within the marine industry.\nKnowledge of production processes.\nLean Six Sigma certification or experience.\nExperience supporting prototype builds and validation testing.\nFamiliarity with VAVE initiatives.\nBoating experience or a passion for the recreational marine industry.\nCompensation & Benefits\nThe salary range for this position is €27,000 -
