Brunswick believes “Next Never Rests™,” and we offer a variety of exciting careers and growth opportunities within united teams defining the future of marine recreation.\nThe successful Mechatronics Engineer will\nDevelop actuator solutions for marine drive applications ranging from basic hydraulic to full electromechanical components \nParticipate in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary design and lab environment \nBridge the gap between Electrical and Mechanical core competencies \nHelp maintain Brunswick’s current actuator portfolio while incorporating emerging technology into new designs \nKey responsibilities\nUtilize a systems engineering approach to create cohesive designs for future actuators that incorporate VOC \nDevelop/guide technicians with test execution from start to completion in a detailed fashion \nBecome a resource for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with existing and new actuator products \nUtilize and contribute to the data-based engineering community at Brunswick \nParticipate in DFMEA activities for existing product improvement opportunities or new actuator products \nParticipate in quality improvement projects \nRequired Experience/Skills\n3-5 years of experience in a product development related role \nBachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, robotics engineering or closely related field \nStrong working knowledge of control systems, sensors, power electronics, brushed and brushless motors \nData Acquisition and test design \nStrong technical background and great communication skills \nExperience leading or participating in DFMEA based design methods \nExperience interacting with procurement and quality teams throughout the product development cycle \nPreferred Experience/Skills\n3-5 years of experience with Electrohydraulic or Electromechanical actuators or Hydraulic Circuits \nExperience with seal and wear component design or manufacturing \nExperience operating a multi-function oscilloscope \nInterest in the marine environment \nInterest in quality improvement \nThe anticipated pay range for this position is $86,500 - $126,800, annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.\nAt Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
