If you are passionate about Lean Manufacturing and can thrive in a fast paced, team oriented, and data driven environment this is the perfect opportunity for you.\nAt Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.\nEssential Functions:\nProcess ownership of the Machining Department\nDevelop new and refine existing equipment and processes to reduce scrap, rework and product cost\nWork in tandem with supervisory staff to meet production requirements\nIndependently manage a portfolio of projects to find and fix the root cause and part quality issues\nPrepare and document work instructions to maintain ISO compliance\nUse Continuous Improvement tools and processes like DMAIC to improve the processes\nInvestigate, propose and manage large capital projects\nAct as a liaison between design engineering and manufacturing personnel\nWork with a team to develop new processes for new products and using HPPD (High performance Product Development) process when applicable\nWork closely with vendors supplying tooling for equipment or parts in your department\nAttend safety meetings and training programs and participates in plant safety programs as required\nWorks closely with all team members to ensure each task is completed in a safe and efficient manner\nDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field\n3-8 years experience process engineering in CNC machining\nStrong mechanical as well as “hands on” aptitude\nExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to independently manage and prioritize projects\nDependable, self-motivated, and engaged learner\nAbility to interact and communicate with different job functions and lead cross functional teams\nThe ability to read and understand part and tooling prints\nAbility to communicate effectively verbally and written via shift notes and emails\nPreferred Qualifications:\nOkuma OSP proficient to improve and create current or new programs\nExperience in defining machine tooling specifications and optimization\nKnowledge and understanding of GD&T\nHistoric understanding in abrasives for metal finishing and/or machining practices\nExposure to Microsoft products including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint\nFamiliarity with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies\nWorking Conditions:\nAbility to occasionally lift 35 lbs.\nTravel may be required for training and new equipment qualifications\nPosition is located in a stainless steel foundry\nWhy Brunswick:\nWhatever tomorrow brings, we’ll be at the leading edge.
