See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:\nPosition Overview:\nAs part of the talented third shift Operations team, you will supervise production employees and assign work to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. You will recommend and execute improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions through listening, engaging employees, and problem solving. This role also serves as the company conduit for employee communications to keep employees abreast of news and information.\nAt Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.\nEssential Functions:\nOwn the four main metrics (safety, quality, delivery, and productivity/people); understand results and implement action plans to close gaps and meet targets\nSpend approximately 75% of time on the floor in direct supervision of daily production and 25% on administrative and project tasks\nAdhere to and model Brunswick's Employee Value Proposition and Values (Innovative, Driven, Exceptional, Authentic, and United)\nDisplay professionalism and represent the company as a leader in all communications and interactions with employees at all levels of the organization\nUtilize tools such as MS Office applications, Shop Floor Manager, OBMS, and similar tools to execute daily responsibilities and project work\nOversee a line or area within a department, including responsibility for front-line employees and leads; understand staffing needs, review nominal headcount, execute to plan, and make candidate selection decisions for open roles\nEnsure the safety of the team and compliance with safety requirements, including PPE adherence, safety policy adherence, conducting safety audits, correcting unsafe behaviors and conditions, and conducting incident investigation reports in partnership with EH&S\nConduct root cause analysis in partnership with Quality on defects, drive resolution, address repeat warranty issues, and drive corrective actions around compliance findings\nConduct and lead Continuous Improvement efforts using tools such as Andon, Spaghetti Diagrams, Line Balancing, 5S, DMAIC, and Root Cause Analysis; identify roadblocks and barriers encountered by work teams and lead cross-functional teams to address issues and execute needed actions\nDrive accountability to policies and procedures; make discretionary decisions guided by policies, procedures, and the business plan\nManage performance issues; administer disciplinary and corrective actions and conduct performance evaluations for all employees\nResolve conflict within and across teams; investigate routine personnel issues in partnership with HR\nCreate action plans from Employee Opinion Survey results and drive execution of plans for the area of responsibility\nManage timekeeping and absenteeism; update UKG/Kronos; sign off on timecards; ensure compliance with start/stop times, break times, and meal times\nUnderstand and manage the production schedule, including impact on other areas; communicate changes or deviations to internal customers and develop action plans with support functions as needed\nWork with leaders in upstream and downstream processes to achieve metrics and partner with peers to resolve production and quality issues\nEnsure development of team as part of succession and talent planning\nManage cost, expense, and inventory control of materials and supplies\nDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.\nRequired Qualifications:\nAssociate degree required\nMinimum of 3-5 years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required\nProficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required\nStrong employee relations management experience\nAbility to coach, direct, and develop employees\nMechanical aptitude and ability to work closely with operators\nPreferred Qualifications:\nKnowledge of UKG/Kronos\nLean Six Sigma experience\nWorking Conditions:\nWorks in a combined office and warehouse/production-floor environment\nMay require occasional early morning, late evening, or weekend work depending on current production needs\nPhysical activity such as walking and bending to inspect inventory locations, with periodic desk-based analytical work\nThe hiring range for this position is $73,900 to $90,500 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context.\nIn addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
