Brunswick believes “Next Never Rests™,” and we offer a variety of exciting careers and growth opportunities within united teams defining the future of marine recreation.\nAbout Us:\nLocation Specific\nWorks in the QA Lab facilitating varying functional quality applications to drive improvement of product and process.\nEssential Functions:\nIdentify Critical to Quality (CTQ) characteristics throughout parts value stream\nDocument CTQ’s and implement into production processes, audits, and inspection (parts processes)\nKnowledge of and operation of FARO arm and Polyworks software for FAI, SQS, and line production issues.\nFacilitates scan measurements of engineering hulls\nLeads the internal parts nonconformance process and data entry\nAdministers the SCS software for calibration and torque control for facility\nHandles quality measurement tools: Phase II hardness tester, hand measurement tools,etc.\nLearn and understand functional roles within the EQMSNCM, CA, Doc Control, etc.\n\nPerforms foam sampling weekly and for new process changes, assists other BG facilities in testing\nReview of QCIS DPU data to identify key quality defects\nUtilize data from AV/AP to identify ongoing issues with product and process\nWork with area supervisors, leads, and facilitators to identify quality issues that need further review ie engineering help, ME, etc.\nAudit the following as necessary and defined:New Proto/Eng. Parts\nNew employee validation\nNew/improved machinery parts\nScheduled parts audit\n\nSupplied parts, as requested\nLearn and understand the A3 improvement process\nActively participate in A3, 5S+1 activities\nWill identify potential A3 projects and fulfill those projects\nWork with engineering and quality to define and implement KPC’s\nCommitment beyond standard work schedule\nSupports kaizen activities and becomes yellow belt LSS certified\nEncourages safe behavior and 5S housekeeping activities.\nMaintains daily communication with supply and customer departments\nPerforms additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.\nTrain on the use of technology to perform job function (Faro)\nMinimum Requirements:\nAbility to utilize basic measuring tools, ie. Taper gauges, straight edges, tape measures, squares.\nExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills including ability to challenge team members/peers appropriately to follow standards.\nExhibits a willingness to help others, eagerness to learn.\nMust be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.\nNMMA Certified preferred or ability to become certified with 6 modules in XX timeframe\nDesired Skills:\nGood working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)\n2-3 years experience in quality or boat building or equivalent\nGreen Belt or Yellow Belt training/ certification\nKnowledge of drawings\nKnowledge of measurement processes’\nASQ certification: CQIA, CQT, etc.\nWork Environment:\nRegularly required to work at heights on platforms, lifting parts and pieces up to 70 lbs, traveling up and down stairs on a constant basis, sitting, squatting and bending in various awkward positions for certain lengths of time - including working overhead, traveling in and out of work areas, walking and being on your feet for a majority of the work day. Exposed to noise, dust, fumes and odors on a daily basis. Pushing and pulling material carts.
