See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality.\nPosition Overview:\nAs a Test & Development Engineering Manager you will lead a team of engineers focused on the test and development of outboard and sterndrive engines.\nAt Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.\nEssential Functions:\nLead a team of engineers focused on the development for outboard and sterndrive engines.\n\nUnderstand functional and system design requirements to meet program goals.\n\nPlan, develop, and execute component & system level FMEA’s and DVP’s.\n\nWork with test lab to execute identified tests both on the dynamometer and on water.\n\nMentor and coach new and developing engineers to transfer knowledge and expertise.\n\nUtilize Concerto / Uniplot / Catman software packages to evaluate system performance and design margins.\n\nAuthor clear, concise technical reports to document development activities, test setups, data, results, and conclusions.\n\nCommunicate test results, risks, and recommended product improvements to Design Engineering and Program Management.\n\nPartner with component engineers and analysis team to ensure component designs meet system requirements and integration needs.\n\nWork independently to solve complex technical problems while effectively engaging cross-functional teams including technicians, design engineers, analysts, and program managers.\n\nDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.\nRequired Qualifications:\nB.S Degree in Mechanical Engineering.\n\n8+ years of engineering experience working with internal combustion engines.\n\nExperience developing and executing FMEAs, DVPs, and system-level validation plans.\n\nExperience with data acquisition systems and instrumentation selection.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nM.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.\n\n12+ years engineering experience working with internal combustion engines.\n\nPrior experience leading a team\n\nExperience with system modeling tools such as GT-Suite / LMS Amesim / Simulink.\n\nThe hiring range for this position is $103,200 - $164,500 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.\nIn addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
