See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:\nPosition Overview:\nJoin the talented Thunder Jet Boats team as a Painter, where you will play a key role in preparing, masking, and spraying aluminum boat surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish.\nAt Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.\nEssential Functions:\n· Apply masking tape and protective materials to areas not designated for paint or coating.\n· Set up, operate, clean, and maintain paint guns, spray equipment, and related tools.\n· Select and prepare appropriate paints, coatings, and materials for each job.\n· Mix paints and coatings according to specifications, including polyurethanes and other paint products.\n· Perform spray painting and finishing operations on boats and components using HVLP paint systems.\n· Remove masking materials and prepare finished products following the painting process.\n· Install flotation foam in boats according to quality and production standards.\n· Repair, touch up, and repaint surfaces as needed.\n· Identify and correct paint defects and surface imperfections to ensure a high-quality finish.\n· Inspect completed work to verify compliance with quality, safety, and production requirements.\n· Follow all established safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respirators.\n· Maintain a clean, organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.\n· Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production goals and quality standards.\n· Perform other duties as assigned.\nDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.\nRequired Qualifications:\n· 1-2 years of painting experience in the marine, automotive, or similar manufacturing industry.\n· Working knowledge of HVLP paint guns and paint mixing systems.\n· Knowledge of paint preparation, mixing, application, and finishing techniques.\n· Experience using paint guns, spray equipment, and related painting tools.\n· Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.\n· Experience identifying and correcting paint defects, surface imperfections, and finish quality issues.\n· Strong attention to detail, organization, and quality workmanship.\n· Self-motivated team player with a strong commitment to safety.\n· Ability to safely wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators.\n· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday.\n· Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet production goals.\n· Reliable attendance and dependability.\n· Willingness to learn new skills and perform other duties as assigned.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n· Previous experience in boat manufacturing or marine painting.\n· Experience working with aluminum surfaces and marine-grade coatings.\n· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.\nWorking Conditions:\n· Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, climb, squat, reach, and lift throughout the workday.\n· Must be able to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.\n· Frequently works in active manufacturing environments with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures.\n· Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear.\n· Ability to work extended hours or occasional overtime as business needs require.\nThe anticipated pay range for this position is $21.75-$22.75. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.\nAt Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
