Founded in 1854, Bryant & Stratton College offers real-world education leading to bachelor's, associate's, and professional certificates after completion in the fields of healthcare, technology, legal, business, graphic design, and more.\nDescription\nThe Bryant & Stratton College Continuing Education Division is seeking a Nurse Aide Instructor at the Wauwatosa Campus for the weekday program. The instructor will teach in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.\nMinimum Requirements:\nA qualified candidate is:\nA registered nurse with a minimum of two years’ experience working as a registered nurse in direct client care.\nOf the two years as a registered nurse, at least one year must be experience working in the long-term care facility providing direct client care.\nA current and unencumbered registered nurse license\nTrain the trainer certificate is required.\nA master’s degree in nursing education or higher may replace this requirement and is preferred. A master’s degree in other areas may be considered. \nThe Nurse Aide program is a weekday program, and the candidate must work during the work week.\nThe didactic portion of the nurse aide program will be taught for two 3 hour days for 6 weeks.\nFor the lab portion of the nurse aide program will be taught for one 4 hour day for 6 weeks.\nThe clinical portion includes two 8-hour clinical days. Weekday clinical is required.\nQualified candidates must pass a background check and drug screen and be fully vaccinated.\nProficiency in basic computer skills is expected. MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required.\nGood verbal and written communication and collaboration skills\nGood time management skills\nPreferred Requirements:\nTeaching experience for nurse aide, licensed practical nurse, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in nursing programs.\nComputer skills working with a learning management system, such as Blackboard.
