This position is part-time, and scheduling is based on the demand of the course sections that are needed.\nBryant & Stratton College instructors will support the College mission by facilitating an active learning classroom through alternative delivery methodologies. Instructors will maintain contemporary knowledge and skills in their discipline to support their expected classroom responsibilities.\nEssential Job Functions \nProvide instruction between 15 and 40 contact hours per week. Instruction will be required in different modalities (example: online, blended, in-person, live webinars).\nMaintain a current knowledge of teaching discipline/field of study.\nAttend required College functions including staff meetings, in-service training, and special activities.\nAssist in the training and development of new and existing instructors.\nUtilize active learning (facilitation), and authentic assessment to support the teaching and learning outcomes of the College.\nAdhere to and uphold all established operational policies and procedures as described in operating documentation (Official Catalog, Faculty Guide, Associate Guide).\nKnowledge, Skills, & Experience \nBachelors Degree Required\nPossess or have had possessed an Insurance license in Life/Health and/or Property/Casualty.\nPreferred minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching.\nAll instructors will possess and exhibit qualities of professionalism, integrity, self-esteem, self-motivation, and a strong desire to guide students to improve their career prospects.\nAll instructors are expected to maintain a contemporary skill set in support of active learning and authentic assessment evaluation methodology.\nAll instructors are responsible for establishing and maintaining a classroom climate consistent with the College values.\nPlease note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate of the base pay for this position. Information about the total compensation package for this position will be provided during the interview process.\nFaculty sign a contract with the Continuing Education Manager at the beginning of each class that outlines the class, contact hours, and dates and time of class.
