The Strategic Communications Writer will provide professional writing, editing, and communications support to Government leadership and program teams, translating complex acquisition, programmatic, and technical information into clear, concise, and compelling communications products. The position will support the Strategic Communication Cell through development and editing of executive correspondence, briefing materials, talking points, reports, presentations, organizational communications, and other products used to inform senior leaders and mission stakeholders.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop, edit, and coordinate executive-level correspondence, briefings, reports, talking points, presentations, memoranda, and other strategic communications products\nTranslate complex acquisition, programmatic, technical, and operational information into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate written products\nSupport the Strategic Communication Cell in developing communications that align with organizational priorities, mission objectives, and leadership guidance\nResearch, gather, and synthesize information from multiple sources to develop accurate and compelling communications products\nDraft and edit executive communications, leadership messages, talking points, responses to taskers, background papers, fact sheets, and other written materials\nReview written products for accuracy, clarity, organization, grammar, spelling, tone, consistency, and adherence to applicable style and formatting standards\nCoordinate with subject matter experts, program offices, Government leadership, and mission partners to obtain information and validate content\nDevelop and maintain communication products and supporting reference materials for recurring leadership engagements, meetings, briefings, and events\nSupport preparation of senior leadership presentations and briefing materials by developing narrative content, key messages, speaker notes, and supporting information\nIdentify complex or technical information that may require clarification and work with subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate and understandable\nManage multiple writing and editing assignments simultaneously while meeting established deadlines and suspense requirements\nEnsure communications products are appropriately tailored to executive, technical, operational, and external stakeholder audiences\nSupport the development and maintenance of organizational messaging, communication templates, and other standardized products\nHandle sensitive and classified information in accordance with applicable security and information-management procedures\nUse Microsoft Office Suite and other Government-approved tools to develop professional-quality written and visual communications products\nPerform other writing, editing, and strategic communications duties as required to support the mission\n Active DoW Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI)\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field desired\nMinimum of 12 years of professional experience in technical writing, professional writing, editing, journalism, or a related field\nDemonstrated experience translating complex technical, acquisition, programmatic, or specialized information into clear, concise content for non-technical audiences\nExperience developing and editing executive-level correspondence, briefings, reports, presentations, talking points, and other professional communications products\nExperience supporting security and policy reviews of communications products and materials\nExperience developing Communications Messaging Guidance (CMG) documents and related strategic communications products\nExperience serving as a primary interface with senior Government communications and public affairs organizations, preferably Space Systems Command Public Affairs (SSC/PA)\nDemonstrated ability to research, synthesize, and validate complex information from multiple sources and translate it into accurate, audience-appropriate communications\nStrong command of grammar, syntax, spelling, punctuation, style, and professional writing standards\nStrong editing and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail\nExperience coordinating with subject matter experts, program offices, senior leaders, and communications/public affairs personnel to develop and refine written products\nAbility to tailor communications to executive, technical, operational, and public affairs audiences\nAbility to manage multiple concurrent assignments, prioritize competing requirements, and consistently meet deadlines\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint\nStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Government organizations, contractors, and mission partners\nAbility to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment supporting
