Join us and make a difference too!\nJob Title: People Operations Associate\nLocation: Milton Keynes (Hybrid)\nAbout the role\nWe are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused People Operations Associate to join BSI’s People Operations team.\nIn this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality, standardised HR services within a shared services environment, helping ensure employees and managers receive timely, accurate support across a range of people processes.\nYou will support activities including onboarding, employee data management, payroll administration, HR documentation, and responding to employee queries, while ensuring compliance with established processes, SLAs, and employment regulations.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career within HR operations and gain exposure to a broad range of people processes in a global organisation.\nKey Responsibilities\nAdminister HR services in line with established processes, service standards, and SLAs.\nProcess employee lifecycle transactions including onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding activities.\nMaintain accurate employee records and HR documentation within HR systems.\nRespond to employee and manager queries via shared inboxes, ticketing systems, or HR platforms.\nPrepare and validate payroll inputs, ensuring timely and accurate processing.\nProvide first-line support on routine HR policies, processes, and benefits queries, escalating more complex matters where appropriate.\nCoordinate onboarding and offboarding activities with internal stakeholders such as IT and Payroll.\nSupport administration of local benefits programmes where applicable.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within People Operations, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and employee experience.\nBuild strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to support a seamless HR service experience.\nProvide administrative support for HR projects and operational initiatives as required.\nWhat we’re looking for\nEssential\n1-3 years of HR administration or similar administrative experience (including internships).\n\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume administrative tasks.\n\nExcellent organisational and prioritisation skills.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.\n\nComfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment.\n\nGood technical aptitude and willingness to learn HR systems and tools.\n\nAbility to build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.\n\nBusiness English proficiency.\n\nHighly desirable\nExperience working with HR systems, ticketing tools, or workflow platforms.\n\nExposure to onboarding, payroll administration, or HR shared services environments.\n\nHR qualification or studies.\n\nExperience supporting HR operations within an international or matrix organisation.\n\nBSI offers a competitive total reward package, an independent and varied job in an international environment, flexible working hours, and ongoing training and development.\nDo you believe the world deserves excellence?\nWe are proud to be the business improvement company helping organisations become more sustainable and resilient - inspiring trust in their products, systems, services, and the world we live in.\nHeadquartered in London, BSI is the world's first national standards organization with more than 100 years of experience.
