Job Title: SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Business Analyst
Location: Covent Garden - Hybrid
Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract
About the role:
BSI is embarking on a major global Finance Transformation, including the implementation of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning as part of our wider SAP S/4HANA programme.
We are looking for a SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Business Analyst to help bridge the gap between our Finance teams and the technology and implementation teams delivering the programme.
SAC will become a key platform for BSI's FP&A and Commercial Finance teams, supporting budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning. This role will help ensure the solution not only works technically, but is ready for Finance teams to use successfully as it is deployed across BSI.
You will work closely with FP&A, Commercial Finance, regional Finance teams, Deloitte and the wider transformation programme to understand business requirements, support solution design, coordinate testing and data validation, prepare users for deployment and support adoption following go-live.
This is very much a Finance Transformation role rather than a BAU Finance position. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of a major global SAC implementation, working across multiple deployment waves and supporting Finance teams through significant process and system change.
Responsibilities:
Develop a strong understanding of BSI's new SAP Analytics Cloud Planning solution and how it will support FP&A and Commercial Finance.
Work with Finance stakeholders to gather, challenge, document and validate business and functional requirements.
Help translate Finance requirements into clear functional specifications for Deloitte and technology delivery teams.
Support the design of future-state SAC processes covering budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts and long-range planning.
Support the design and validation of SAC planning models, dimensions, hierarchies, workflows, approval structures, planning calendars and security requirements.
Help define the readiness and success criteria that must be achieved before SAC is deployed into each country or region.
Support deployment activities across multiple global rollout waves, ensuring Finance teams, processes, data and systems are ready for go-live.
Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including developing test scenarios, scripts and acceptance criteria.
Work directly with Finance users to ensure the system has been thoroughly tested ahead of deployment. System readiness, user testing and training for each deployment were identified as core priorities for the role during the briefing.
Support data mapping, migration, validation and reconciliation between existing and future Finance systems.
Log, track and support the resolution of defects alongside Deloitte and wider programme teams.
Develop training materials, user documentation and work instructions and support end-user training and onboarding.
Support change management and business readiness activities, building relationships with Finance super-users and champions across BSI.
Provide post-go-live hyper-care and help ensure new SAC processes become successfully embedded within the Finance community.
Support the ongoing administration and continuous improvement of SAC following implementation.
To Be Successful in the Role, You Will Have:
At least 5 years' experience within FP&A, Commercial Finance, Finance Transformation, Finance Systems or Business Analysis.
Previous experience working directly with FP&A or Finance Business Partnering teams, with a strong understanding of their processes and requirements. This was identified as particularly important during the hiring-manager briefing.
Good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, planning and management reporting processes.
Experience documenting business processes and translating Finance requirements into functional requirements or specifications.
Experience supporting a Finance system implementation, transformation or migration programme.
Hands-on SAP Analytics Cloud experience would be highly advantageous; experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAC or a comparable enterprise planning platform will also be considered.
Experience moving from one budgeting or planning system to another would be particularly valuable, as it provides first-hand understanding of the user and change journey involved.
Experience planning and executing UAT, including developing testing scenarios and working with end users.
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills with the ability to work across Finance, Technology and implementation teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to manage multiple workstreams within a complex transformation programme.
Experience with Oracle HFM would be beneficial.
An accountancy qualification such as CIMA, ACA or ACCA, or equivalent, would be advantageous.
BSI offers a competitive total reward package, an independent and varied job in an international environment, flexible working hours, ongoing training and development with the inclusion of 27-days annual leave, paid sick leave, bank holidays, health insurance, life insurance, pension plan with company contribution, car allowance (dependent on role), income protection, paid maternity leave, paid paternity leave, paid parental leave, adoption leave, compassionate leave, paid bereavement leave, learning and development opportunities, and a wide range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your lifestyle.
