You will own category outcomes and drive decisions that materially impact revenue and margin.\nWhat You’ll Be Responsible For\nCreating and developing a long-term plan and ongoing strategy for development of the category\nOwn category performance: sales, margin, pricing, assortment, and execution\nBuild long-term category strategy and annual operating plans\nLead pricing strategy, competitive positioning, and assortment planning\nIdentify and close category opportunity gaps\nLead SKU rationalization and promotion strategy\nDevelop and manage supplier relationships and negotiations\nTranslate data into clear operational decisions\nConduct field visits to improve store-level execution\nBuild executive-level reporting and decision support\nLead cross-functional initiatives with merchandising, operations, and IT\nProject management which will include developing project plans, processes, and timeline\nDevelop key supplier relationships for category management initiatives\nWho This Role Is For\nThis role is for high judgment operators who:\nAre comfortable owning decisions, not just analysis\nThink strategically about category growth and profitability\nCommunicate insights to executives without noise\nCare about results more than titles\nCategory experience is valuable, but high capability operators who learn quickly can succeed here.\nRequired Capabilities\n Advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable)\nStrong experience working with large retail or operational datasets\nExperience building pricing, assortment, or category strategy\nData visualization experience (Tableau, MicroStrategy, or similar)\nStrong written and verbal communication\nAbility to manage complex projects and multiple priorities\nEducation & Experience\nBA/BS + 2-4 years relevant experience\nor\nMaster’s degree + 1-2 years relevant experience\nWe value capability and judgment over pedigree.\nBenefits\n25 days PTO (use it, cash it, or roll it)\nMedical, Dental, Vision\n401(k) with 100% match up to 6%\nLong-term growth and advancement opportunities\nThis is an in-office role.
