This position requires a strong background in premise defense, commercial litigation, including courtroom presence, trial participation, and voir dire experience.\nNOTE: Thisis an IN-OFFICE opportunity only, located in the SH 288 and Hwy 518 area.\n25 Days PTO\nMedical * Dental * Vision\n401k 100% Match up to 6%\nThe essential job functions include, but are not limited to:\nWork on dispute and litigation matters, with a primary focus on premises liability defense, including investigation, legal research and writing, drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, and discovery, preparing for and participating in hearings, trials, and appeals\nWork on litigation discovery processes, including supervising and implementing legal holds and document collection\nResearch, prepare guidance, and offer legal counsel on compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including privacy, data security, consumer rights, employment, operations, and other areas\nIdentify potential legal risks particularly related to premises liability exposure, and develop strategies to mitigate them. Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures\nResearch specific legal issues and share results with legal team or business unit\nAssist other attorneys in the legal department with a variety of matters\nCollaborate with all departments to deliver timely and responsive legal services\nMaintain familiarity with current and proposed laws and regulations and case guidance involving all assigned matters\nMaintain organized files and track critical deadlines for a variety of matters\nUse and increase knowledge of contract legal management, matter management, and other company software platforms\nIt is an essential function of this job for the employee to work in office/in the employee’s assigned work site. No remote work is available\nPerform other duties as required and/or assigned\nEmployee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation\nThe position requirements include, but are not limited to:\nThe Counsel must be licensed to practice law in Texas or be licensed in another state and be eligible to become licensed in Texas within one year\n\nJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school is required\n\nSignificant hands-on litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on premises liability defense, including courtroom presence, drafting and arguing motions, participating in hearings and trials, and conducting or assisting with voir dire is required\n\n5 years of relevant legal experience.
