In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for remotely, commissioning, monitoring, auditing, and performing final closeout checks in the installation of our portfolio of energy efficiency solutions across North America within our customer base of Quick Serve Restaurant (QSR), Casual Dining chains, retail and enterprise sites, with a particular focus on HVAC solutions.\nWhy this Role is Important:\nThis role is critical to long term customer satisfaction and gross margin generation.\nThe HVAC Remote Commissioning Technician drives common standards and excellence in ensuring quality installation of our customer solutions.\n Responsibilities\nLead the remote commissioning, quality assurance, and closeout of Budderfly's HVAC Replacement Program and associated energy solutions.\nServe as a critical point of accountability for installation quality, safety compliance, commissioning, and project closeout across Budderfly and its contractor network.\nAct as a technical resource for installation contractors by providing real-time guidance, troubleshooting support, and installation best practices during equipment installation and startup.\nConduct comprehensive remote installation closeout reviews with contractors on the day of installation, utilizing detailed quality assurance and commissioning checklists.\nReview installation documentation to include pre and post installation surveys, photographs, videos, to verify compliance with Budderfly standards.\nInterface directly with installation teams through phone, video, and collaboration platforms to identify, document, and resolve installation deficiencies.\nMonitor newly completed installations remotely to validate system performance, identify operational issues, and coordinate corrective actions when necessary.\nPerform technical reviews of Test & Balance (TAB) reports, commissioning documentation, and startup data to develop contractor punch lists and customer-facing deficiency reports.\nEscalate installation, commissioning, performance, and safety concerns to appropriate internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.\nMaintain a consistent, repeatable, and outcome-driven quality assurance process across thousands of HVAC installations within Budderfly's national customer portfolio.\nSupport Budderfly's commitment to customer satisfaction by verifying successful installations and ensuring systems deliver expected operational and energy performance outcomes.\nProvide quality assurance oversight across a diverse portfolio of customer sites, including quick service restaurants (QSR), casual dining, retail, and enterprise facilities.\nCollaborate closely with HVAC Installation, Energy Performance Engineering, Customer Management, Service & Maintenance, and General Solutions teams to achieve operational and customer success objectives.\nMaintain accurate installation records, quality findings, commissioning results, and closeout documentation within Budderfly’s documentation and reporting platforms.\nTravel occasionally, as required, to support field audits, training activities, escalated installations, and operational initiatives (up to 35%).\nWork days and hours may fluctuate based on project needs;
