Then it is time for us to make your acquaintance.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nProgram high-complexity parts in Siemens NX CAM, including 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis simultaneous machining operations.\nCreate optimized, efficient, and safe tool paths for precision components based on 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.\nSelect cutting tools, fixtures, and strategies that maximize machining efficiency and meet tight-tolerance requirements.\nWork closely with the manufacturing lead, manufacturing engineer, and design engineers to ensure manufacturability and process reliability.\nSet up simulation and verification processes to eliminate programming errors before release to the shop floor and record/report any post issues that arise with documentation.\nOptimize cycle times, improve tool life, and reduce machine downtime through continuous evaluation and refinement of programs.\nDevelop setup sheets, work instructions, and documentation to support seamless machine setup and first article success.\nProvide direct shop floor support for first runs, debug programs, and adjust tool paths for in-process improvements while completing machine set ups to turn over to the manufacturing lead.\nParticipate in DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews and recommend design changes to improve machining and reduce cost.\nMaintain version control, program archives, and backup systems to ensure traceability and program integrity.\nSupport CNC standardization efforts, process improvement projects, and training of other programmers and machinists.\nAs a CNC programmer, shift rotation may be necessary for support.\n*This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected. Employee may be asked to perform other duties as required. *\nREQUIREMENTS:\nAssociate’s degree or Certificate in Manufacturing Technology, CNC Programming, or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience accepted.\nMinimum 5-7 years of CNC programming experience in Siemens NX in a production environment.\nProven experience programming for complex multi-axis machining centers (3, 4, and 5-axis mills, mill-turns and lathes).\nExpert knowledge of GD&T, high precision tolerancing, and blueprint reading.\nStrong knowledge of material behaviors (aluminum, stainless steels, Inconel, and a wide variety of plastics) and corresponding machining best practices.\nExperience with post-processing and minor post-editing for Siemens NX output highly preferred.\nProficiency in CAM simulation software (Vericut), machine verification, and collision avoidance techniques.\nStrong project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing, 5S principles, and continuous improvement (kaizen) environments.\nHigh attention to detail, organizational skills, and pride in craftsmanship.\nAbility to troubleshoot machining issues and recommend corrective actions quickly and effectively.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job.
