Major duties include basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, pool operations, preventative maintenance, and indoor & outdoor grounds upkeep.\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\nPerform basic maintenance procedures to maintain high quality guest service.\nInspect guest rooms.\nMaintain proper chemical levels in pool and spa areas in accordance with local health codes.\nEnsure routine preventative maintenance on laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, lawn equipment, exercise equipment and plumbing are performed as required by the manufacturer and in accordance with the warranty specifications.\nAssist the Chief Engineer in developing training, department protocols, and other compliance procedures of the Maintenance department.\nAssist the Chief Engineer with vendors’ relationships and integration, key control, logs, and any other duties determined by Chief Engineer and General Manager.\nListening and responding to guests’ requests or complaints.\nReview maintenance problems, complaints and work orders to prioritize and schedule work assignments.\nMonitoring and inspecting assigned work.\nTrouble-shooting, diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning electrical/mechanical systems and equipment.\nInspecting property to identify potential and current needs.\nExecuting on-going appropriate maintenance programs.\nPerforming preventive maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.\nServicing the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.\nCompleting maintenance logs.\nMaintaining the building exterior.\nStarting Rate of Pay: $21 per hour\nWhat you bring:\nTwo years of maintenance experience in a hotel or a related field.\nOne year of supervising staff experience is preferred.\nHVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills are required. Must be able to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry, and pull up to 75 lbs.
