Senior Frontend Developer (Angular)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Developer with strong Angular expertise to join our team in Prague (Pankrác) and help shape the future of Bühler machine software through our strategic JointForces program.

Together, we are building Playone, a standardized machine control platform that will serve more than 100 different Bühler machine types used in industries ranging from chocolate, flour and coffee production to feed, paints and advanced manufacturing.

Location: Prague, Czech Republic

Hybrid work model (3 days onsite in our Prague office, up to 2 days home office). This is not a fully remote position.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Design, develop and maintain scalable frontend solutions for the Playone platform.
• Collaborate with multiple development teams to continuously evolve Bühler's group-wide machine platform.
• Work closely with Product Owners and System Architects on technical foundations, architecture and long-term platform development.
• Contribute to establishing the platform, its community, and supporting processes.
• Help ensure the platform remains maintainable, scalable and extensible.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, technical discussions and knowledge sharing.
• Encourage pragmatic engineering decisions that support long-term maintainability and delivery.
• Ensure frontend components integrate smoothly with backend systems, machine control software and deployment environments.
• Support engineering best practices including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, static code analysis and security checks.

What should you already know/have?

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of commercial Angular experience.
• Experience designing and developing enterprise-grade web applications and reusable frontend libraries using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5 and SCSS.
• Experience providing technical leadership, coaching or mentoring other developers.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, object-oriented programming and clean code principles.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and with modern software development practices (Git, CI/CD, Unit Testing, DevOps).
• Fluent English (B2+ or higher).
