May operate specialty preparation equipment. Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and accurate proportions following approved procedure. Assist with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications. Responsible for validating processes and equipment directly related to cleaning and sterilization. Responsible for the removal and disposal of waste chemicals, solvents, and acids. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex issues associated with bulking/formulation operations.\nResponsibilities and Duties\nWeighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients\nPerforms simple analytical tests (pH, conductivity, and absorbance)\nPerforms routine cleaning of processing equipment\nHandles hazardous waste as appropriate\nAssists with inventory counting activities as required\nInspects in-process parts to ensure consistent quality and remove defective product, packaging, and component material\nResponsible for ensuring timely and accurate documentation of all manufacturing activities performed\nMonitors meters, gauges, temperatures, pressures, and related controls\n Plans and controls timing of operations\nEnsures accurate proportions of batches following approved procedure\n Performs complex work to close tolerances, high quality and accuracy\n Knowledge of using and calibrating scales and meters\nMakes effective decisions relative to position requirements\nEvaluates operating process equipment and implantation to ensure constant compliance with standard manufacturing practices (SMP)\n Uses independent judgment in troubleshooting and problem solving under little/no supervision\nProvides support to lead and/or supervisor when necessary\nMay provide training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures\nMay provide support on special projects\nDemonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)\nMust follow all housekeeping policies and procedures\nMust follow all safety policies and procedures\nMust be able to work overtime as required to meet business requirementso Must be able to flex hours within shift (as needed)\n Perform other duties as required \nQualifications\nMinimum Education/Experience\nHigh School degree required with 2 years of relevant experience required. \nExperience in a regulated environment required\nBasic Skills:\nStrong attention to detail\nUnderstand rounding and significant digits\nExhibit the ability to use independent judgment and demonstrated leadership\nPossess the ability to communicate (oral/written) technical and non-technical information across the group and organization\nPossess strong time management skills to complete assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner\nPossess the ability to operate independently on semi-routine and routine activities\nProficient/Working Skills:\nMust be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, and perform calculations\nDemonstrate the ability to use personal computers.\n Proficiency in Manufacturing Execution System is required\nAt BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
