Responsible for training/developing operators and providing on-the-floor leadership. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and standard methodologies, as well as all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nResponsible for doing changeovers and setting up the equipment properly.\nMust keep equipment running in a good state of repair to meet production and quality standards.\nIs responsible for generating accurate maintenance records and other records as required by management.\nResponsible for machine cleanliness and preventive maintenance.\nMust provide coverage for others who are absent.\nHelps operators run equipment and provide assistance during operators’ break times.\nMust actively participate and lead teams, including but not limited to: scheduling, process improvement, safety, and continuous improvement.\nMust work safely, handle chemicals properly and ensure the safety of work mates.\nEncouraged to align with other requests made by management.\nMay work in a clean room environment and need to follow all GMP rules.\nOther duties as required to support the needs of the business\nEducation:\nHigh School diploma/GED required\nAssociates Degree preferred in a mechanical related field\nExperience:\nMechanical skills/education/background required\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nMechanical ability - Proficient\nTroubleshooting and problem solving efficiently and effectively - Proficient\nHand tool and gages knowledge - Proficient\nIndependent thinking - Proficient\nTeamwork - Proficient\nLeadership skills - Proficient\nPCP Level: 4\nMay require respirators to be worn and mandatory passing of annual fit testing.\nWhy Join Us?\nTo find purpose in the possibilities, we need people who can see the bigger picture, who understand the human story that underpins everything we do.
