It takes the imagination and passion of all of us-from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year-to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.\n\nJob Description\nJob Responsibilities:\nServe as the site subject matter expert (SME) for metrology, dimensional inspection, and measurement systems.\nDevelop, validate, qualify, and maintain measurement systems utilizing precision hand tools, bench instruments, vision systems, and touch-probe equipment.\nProgram, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain MicroVu measurement systems and associated software.\nDesign, develop, and support fabrication of measurement fixtures to improve inspection accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency.\nLead Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities, including protocol development, work instruction creation, Gage R&R studies, statistical analysis, and final reporting.\nEvaluate measurement system capability using statistical tools and software and implement improvements as needed.\nSupport equipment qualification, process validation, and validation maintenance activities related to inspection and measurement systems.\nPerform dimensional inspections and testing in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, sampling plans, and quality requirements.\nSupport incoming inspection, manufacturing inspection, nonconformance investigations, customer complaints, and change control activities.\nAnalyze inspection and measurement data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential quality risks.\nMaintain inspection programs, quality records, calibration requirements, protocols, reports, and associated quality documentation.\nProvide training, coaching, and technical support to manufacturing, quality, and engineering personnel on measurement techniques, inspection processes, and metrology best practices.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation, and Quality teams to implement process improvements and support new product or process introductions.\nEnsure compliance with Quality System Regulations, ISO requirements, internal procedures, safety policies, and environmental requirements.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nDemonstrate accountability for all safety, quality, and compliance requirements.\nPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned by Quality Management.\nEducation and Experience:\nEducation:\nRequired / Minimum: High School Diploma/GED\nPreferred: Associates Degree in Programming, Engineering, Math or similar field\nExperience:\nPreferred: Six (6) months of experience in manufacturing, metrology, dimensional inspection, precision measurement systems, vision systems, or a related technical field. \nExperience with MicroVu equipment, MSA, Gage R&R studies, and interpreting engineering drawings is highly desirable.\nKnowledge and Skills:\nProficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in english.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with associates, management, customers, and auditors.\nDemonstrated problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and commitment to continuous improvement.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, and work instructions.\nWorking knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and product component requirements.\nGeneral knowledge of key regulations such as FDA, GMP, ISO, and OSHA preferred. Willingness to learn and apply these standards in daily work.\nMeticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies\nExperience with molding processes and dimensional and visual inspection techniques using precision measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, comparators, MicroVu).\nKnowledge of process validation activities, including inspection and testing support.\nExperience with Measurement System Analysis (MSA), including Gage R&R studies and statistical evaluation of measurement systems.\nDemonstrated adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).\nAbility to work overtime as necessary\nComputer Skills:\nRequired: Microsoft Office Suite & Minitab\nPreferred: SAP & Apriso\nPhysical Demands:\nPhysical demands include activities associated with working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs.\nWork Environment:\nThe work environment is fast-paced and primarily centered in busy manufacturing areas, with minimal time spent in an office setting.
