In this role, you will be responsible for moving and organizing inventory throughout the yard, assisting customers with product selection and loading, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.\nThe ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, has forklift experience, and is committed to providing excellent customer service while supporting daily yard operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist customers with locating, selecting, and loading products.\nSafely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment to move products throughout the yard.\nVerify materials loaded against invoices, orders, and requisitions to ensure accuracy.\nComplete and process required paperwork and documentation.\nOrganize and stock inventory in designated locations.\nMonitor inventory levels and help ensure products remain accessible and well-stocked.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nMinimum of 6 months of experience in a warehouse, yard, distribution, lumberyard, or similar environment.\nOSHA Forklift Certification or ability to maintain certification.\nAbility to safely operate forklift equipment and other material-handling equipment.\nStrong customer service and communication skills.\nAbility to read and understand invoices, work orders, and requisitions.\nBasic math and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nPreferred\nPrevious experience in a building materials, construction, lumber, or distribution environment.\nKnowledge of inventory control and yard operations.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.\nAbility to climb in and out of forklift equipment and operate controls safely.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and noise.\nWork Environment\nThis position is based primarily in an outdoor yard environment and requires working in varying weather conditions.
