The role drives deployment readiness, manages dependencies and risks, coordinates cutover and Hypercare activities, and ensures technical issues are identified, routed, tracked, and resolved through the appropriate teams.\nThe position is not intended to be an SAP configuration/development role. Rather, the Technical Project Manager must understand SAP-enabled business processes and the BFS deployment model well enough to identify dependencies, facilitate technical problem solving, manage cross-functional execution, and communicate clearly between technical teams and field/site operations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n1. Deployment Planning & Execution\nLead team readiness and SAP functional training, ensuring team members develop the knowledge, skills, and hands-on proficiency required to confidently support their assigned functional area during deployment, go-live, and Hypercare.\n Prepare and coach team members for effective end-user support, reinforcing strong communication, patience, professionalism, problem-solving, and a positive, customer-focused attitude when working with end users.\nDrive go-live and Hypercare readiness, keeping the team focused, engaged, and accountable while monitoring training progress, addressing knowledge gaps, reinforcing key processes, and ensuring the team is prepared to provide effective on-site support under demanding deployment conditions.\nDevelop and maintain detailed deployment plans for assigned SAP deployment waves and locations.\nCoordinate technical activities across pre-deployment, readiness, cutover, go-live, Hypercare, and transition-to-support phases.\nCoordinate activities across multiple BFS locations and deployment workstreams.\nEnsure owners, due dates, dependencies, and escalation paths are clearly established.\nIdentify schedule conflicts and critical-path risks early and drive them toward resolution.\n2. Technical & Site Readiness\nCoordinate and track readiness of technical dependencies required for successful field deployment, including applicable:\nSAP environment/access readiness\nUser roles and security access\nSite and deployment data readiness\nDevices and handheld technology\nInfrastructure and connectivity dependencies\nInterfaces and application dependencies\nTraining/practice environments\nDeployment and support tools\nBuild effective working relationships with BFS site leaders and field teams\n3. Cutover & Go-Live Coordination\nCoordinate Field Deployment activities associated with production cutover and go-live.\nMaintain visibility to critical cutover tasks, dependencies, owners, status, and blockers.\nFacilitate deployment checkpoints and escalation discussions.\nCoordinate with Deployment Hub, Core Project, business, technical, and field resources when cutover activities affect site readiness.\nEnsure issues discovered during deployment are routed to the appropriate owner rather than allowing field teams to develop unsupported workarounds.\nTranslate field operational issues into information technical and functional teams can act upon.\nHelp technical teams understand the real-world business impact of deployment issues.\nMaintain focus on business continuity during deployment.\nPromote adoption of standard BFS Way processes rather than unsupported local workarounds.\n4. Hypercare & Incident Coordination\nSupport operational stabilization after SAP go-live.\nMonitor deployment issues and incidents requiring cross-team coordination.\nDrive appropriate triage and escalation of technical, functional, data, access, integration, or process issues.\nWork with ServiceNow and support teams to maintain visibility to issues affecting field operations.\nFacilitate prioritization of issues based on operational impact.\nTrack significant issues through resolution and communicate progress to deployment leadership and affected stakeholders.\nSupport transition from Hypercare into steady state support.\nProduce concise deployment status reporting for Deployment leadership.\nFacilitate recurring technical deployment/readiness meetings.\nTranslate technical information into clear business impact for field and leadership audiences.\nEscalate decisions requiring leadership intervention with clear options, impacts, and recommended next steps.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, Supply Chain, or comparable professional experience.\n5+ years of technical project management, ERP deployment, IT implementation, or comparable large-scale transformation experience.\nExperience supporting SAP implementations, ERP deployments, or multi-site enterprise technology rollouts.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple sites, workstreams, dependencies, risks, and technical teams concurrently.\nAbility to translate between technical teams and nontechnical field/business users.\nDemonstrated experience operating in high-pressure go-live or production-support environments.\nStrong written, verbal, facilitation, and executive communication skills.\nAbility to travel to BFS field locations as required by deployment activities.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nSAP S/4HANA deployment experience\nExperience with large-scale, multi-location ERP implementations\nSAP functional knowledge in one or more areas relevant to BFS\nCutover and Hypercare experience\nExperience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, transportation, distribution, supply-chain, or building-material operations\nExperience coordinating internal teams, systems integrators, and third-party field-support
