This isn't a shadow-and-observe internship. You'll own real tickets and projects from your first week, with senior IT, Systems and Security teammates guiding you. By the end, you'll run a queue with confidence. The internship will be during the summer of 2027.\nWhat you will do:\nProvide first- and second-tier support, troubleshooting hardware, software, network and account access issues.\nSet up new-hire equipment, image laptops and process offboarding equipment returns.\nManage the ticket queue, track assets and handle basic account administration in Active Directory and SSO.\nWrite help articles, setup guides and process runbooks that make the team more self-sufficient.\nPartner on small projects, such as software rollouts and conference room AV upgrades.\nLearn endpoint management, ticketing tools such as Jira and basic networking.\nEmbrace using AI as a tool to enhance your work, while remaining open to learning, applying critical thinking, and owning the quality of your final work.\nWho you are and what you need:\nCurrently pursuing a degree in information technology, computer science, management information systems or a related field (sophomore standing or above preferred).\nMethodical troubleshooter who asks questions instead of panicking when something breaks.\nClear communicator who can explain a fix in plain English to nontechnical coworkers.\nGenuine interest in how internal IT differs from customer-facing tech.\nReliable, organized and comfortable owning a ticket queue.\nWe are giving you:\nOffice environment with all the perks of a high-energy tech company.\nFree daily lunches at the office.\nOnsite fitness center to keep you feeling your best.\nNo weekend hours - just work hard Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. \nMonthly events to connect other interns and Buildertrend employees.\nWho we are:\nGreat builders don't just manage projects - they run successful businesses.
