Hollywood, Florida | Full-Time | In-Office (5 days on site)

$125,000 to $160,000 DOE | 20% Origination Credit | $10,000 Signing Bonus Established Removal Defense Practice | Full Docket Day One

Five years of removal defense, fully bilingual in Spanish and English, and ready for a firm that will invest in you? Base is $125,000 to $160,000 depending on experience, plus a 20% origination credit on every client you bring through the door.

The Law Offices of Robert M. Bell, P.A. is a Hollywood, Florida firm handling family-based, humanitarian, and removal defense immigration matters for clients across South Florida. The firm has built its reputation on professionalism, integrity, and exceptional client service, and it takes the hard cases and sees them through.

This is a long-term platform role, not a stepping stone. You inherit a live docket, you are the attorney of record from day one, and you have room to build a client base of your own with the firm's name and support behind you.

About the Role

You will own removal defense matters end to end. Expect a full docket across the detained and non-detained calendars: master calendar hearings, individual hearings, and bond hearings, plus the motion practice and relief filings that go with them. You will also handle USCIS interviews and consultations with prospective clients. From day one you are the attorney of record on your cases, with senior counsel and a support team available, not a second chair waiting for work.

Business development is welcome, not required. Any client you originate carries a 20% origination credit paid on top of your base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent individuals in removal proceedings in both detained and non-detained settings
  • Attend master calendar hearings, individual hearings, and bond hearings
  • Prepare and file motions to reopen, motions to terminate, motions for bond, and motions to continue
  • Prepare and file applications for relief including asylum, adjustment of status, waivers, and cancellation of removal
  • Represent clients at USCIS interviews
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal briefs
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and government agencies
  • Provide consultations to prospective clients

Requirements

Experience and background:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on removal defense experience.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills, with demonstrated courtroom advocacy in immigration court
  • Preferred: experience across detained dockets and bond practice, plus humanitarian and family-based filings alongside removal work

Must-haves:

  • Active member in good standing with any U.S. State Bar Association
  • Full fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken, and a passion for advocating for immigrants
  • A commitment to a long-term seat. The firm is building a practice, not filling a gap for 18 months.
  • Clear, consistent communication with clients and government agencies, and a service-first approach to a difficult docket
  • Organized and detail-oriented, able to carry a full removal docket without a missed deadline

Why This Role Stands Out

  • A pay range built around real removal defense experience, benchmarked against the South Florida market
  • 20% origination credit on clients you bring in, paid on top of base, with no cap
  • A full docket from day one. No book-building required, and no waiting for work to be assigned down.
  • Real hearing volume across master calendar, individual, and bond dockets, detained and non-detained
  • A collegial team of experienced professionals and mission-driven work on cases that change lives

Benefits

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $125,000 to $160,000, commensurate with experience
  • $10,000 Signing Bonus: $10,000 signing bonus, paid in two installments: $5,000 after six months of successful employment and the remaining $5,000 upon completion of one year of employment
  • 20% client participation and origination incentive on business you generate, paid on top of base
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with employer matching up to 4%
  • Generous PTO policy - 14 days to start
