Responsibilities\nOwn the architecture of backend services and their integration with mobile and web applications.\nLead technical design reviews and drive architectural decisions across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.\nDesign scalable, resilient, cloud-native systems supporting AI-driven coaching experiences.\nImplement robust database session management with a focus on high concurrency and thread safety (SQLAlchemy or equivalent).\nApply dependency injection patterns to create testable and maintainable code.\nBreak down complex requirements into independent, manageable tasks and deliver them incrementally.\nCollaborate with frontend developers, data scientists, and DevOps engineers to integrate backend services with web/mobile apps, AI models, and cloud infrastructure.\nOptimize backend services for performance and scalability, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across disciplines.\nDesign and optimize database schemas for performance and data integrity in PostgreSQL or MySQL.\nContainerize backend services using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes.\nLeverage cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to deploy and scale services.\nDocument APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger for internal and external consumption.\nQualifications\nMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.\n10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years of experience designing production-scale systems.\nAbility to evaluate architectural trade-offs involving scalability, reliability, maintainability, and cost.\nExcellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nExtensive experience with Python backend development using Flask or FastAPI.\nStrong expertise with SQLAlchemy or equivalent ORM for robust session management and high-concurrency, thread-safe applications.\nPractical experience with dependency injection and modular code design.\nAbility to break down complex requirements into smaller, independent deliverables.\nProficiency in designing scalable database schemas and optimizing queries for performance.\nExperience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production environments.\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and cloud-native technologies.\nFamiliarity with data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy) for analytics or ML
