Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack) who can own features end-to-end; from a Postgres schema, through a Hono/Express service, to a React Native (Expo) or web experience built on a modern fullstack meta framework (TanStack Start or Next.js ).

You will partner closely with product, design, and other engineers to turn ambiguous requirements into reliable, well-tested software that scales with the business. You will also be expected to raise the bar for the team through code review, design input, and pragmatic technical judgment while remaining hands-on.

Responsibilities:

• Own features end-to-end: design the data model, build the API, and ship the client experience across web and/or mobile.
• Design and build backend services and APIs in TypeScript using Hono or Express, including auth, background jobs, and integration boundaries.
• Build production frontend and mobile experiences using a fullstack meta framework (TanStack Start or Next.js ) and React Native (Expo preferred).
• Design Postgres schemas and queries with attention to indexing, migration safety, and query performance; use Drizzle or Prisma as the ORM layer.
• Make pragmatic architectural trade-offs across product speed, reliability, maintainability, and system complexity.
• Improve observability, incident response, and production debugging practices for the systems you own.
• Review designs and pull requests with a focus on correctness, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Partner with product, design, and QA to close the loop beyond code completion, clarifying ambiguous requirements and documenting assumptions.
• Support other engineers through thoughtful code review, design feedback, and shared technical context.
• Use AI tools with judgment, and create reusable patterns that reduce repeated work across the team.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of software development experience with strong full-stack ownership, comfortable across backend, frontend, and mobile.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript across the entire stack.
• Production experience with a backend framework such as Hono or Express, building APIs, services, and background workers.
• Hands-on experience with a fullstack meta framework such as TanStack Start or Next.js .
• Production experience with React Native, ideally using Expo, for mobile app development.
• Experience with an ORM such as Drizzle or Prisma for type-safe, end-to-end data access.
• Strong Postgres experience: schema design, indexing, query performance, and safe migrations.
• Experience designing APIs, authentication/authorization, and integration boundaries.
• Solid system design fundamentals: reliability, failure modes, observability, and cross-service impact.
• Strong product and business judgment, including clarifying ambiguous scope and making pragmatic tradeoffs.
• Clear communication in design notes, PRs, investigations, and status updates.
• Comfort working in a large codebase and improving architecture incrementally while continuing to ship.
