Reporting to our SVP Fiber Networks, you will be a member of a lean Fiber Networks Team, working alongside specialists who know the network in depth.\nThis is a role built to grow. You start hands-on, and the scope expands toward senior ownership of fiber operations as you establish yourself, in an industry where uptime and security requirements keep tightening. We are more interested in what you can grow into than in a perfect match on paper, so the role will be shaped around the right person.\nWhat you'll do:\nAs our Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:\nDevelop and maintain Bulk's fiber infrastructure, telehousing facilities and support systems:\nContinuously improve maintenance plans, operating procedures, testing regimes, and risk controls for the fiber network and telehousing assets.\n\nEnsure data quality, maintaining asset documentation and lifecycle records.\n\nPrepare requirements specifications and manage procurement and vendors for technical and operational equipment and services.\n\nNOC support and development:\nDirectly support any operational issues, including critical equipment, and event support.\n\nLead incident management during fault situations together with our NOC, persisting until resolution while maintaining proactive, clear communication with customers throughout the troubleshooting process.\n\nCustomer technical support:\nSupport with technical assessments in customer dialogues.\n\nExecute customer deliverables and commissioning requirements.\n\nTechnical and operational support in new-build projects:\nIncorporate operational requirements into engineering reviews, network planning, and new builds.\n\nWho are you?\nYou are pragmatic, adaptable, and driven by a continuous improvement mindset. You work in a structured and process-oriented way, and you bring that discipline into an environment that is growing fast. You build strong relationships with the external partners our operations depend on. You enjoy hands-on work, learning alongside seasoned colleagues, and taking end-to-end ownership. You do not need to have done all of this before. You need the technical foundation, the judgment to ask the right questions, and the drive to take the function further than it is today.\nWhat you bring:\n5+ years of relevant professional experience in telecom.\n\nHigher education in engineering.\n\nA technical foundation that lets you understand, question and challenge how telecom infrastructure is operated.\n\nA structured, process-oriented approach to procedures, documentation and operational discipline.\n\nStrong solution orientation and collaboration skills across internal and external stakeholders.\n\nFluency and excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English.\n\nGood to have:\nHands-on experience with fiber infrastructure, transmission technologies and support systems.\n\nExperience from, or working closely with, a Network Operations Center.\n\nExperience developing maintenance plans, operating procedures and testing regimes for optical fiber systems and telehousing.\n\nWe welcome applicants who do not fit every requirement!
