The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Flutter and Dart, a deep understanding of mobile architecture, and a proven ability to drive engineering best practices across teams. This role combines hands-on engineering, architecture, technical leadership, and mentoring. You will work closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and Engineering teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance mobile experiences.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\n- Own the technical architecture and development of high-quality Flutter applications for iOS and Android.\n\n- Design scalable, maintainable, and testable mobile application architectures.\n\n- Drive technical decisions around Flutter, Dart, state management, networking, persistence, security, and performance.\n\n- Lead development of complex and business-critical mobile features from concept through production.\n\n- Establish and enforce coding standards, engineering best practices, and design patterns.\n\n- Conduct architecture and code reviews, ensuring high standards of quality and maintainability.\n\n- Identify and resolve performance, stability, scalability, and technical debt issues.\n\n- Work closely with Product and Design teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.\n\n- Collaborate with backend engineers to define APIs, data models, and integration patterns.\n\n- Establish best practices around CI/CD, automated testing, release management, and app observability.\n\n- Mentor senior engineers and contribute to the growth of the broader mobile engineering team.\n\n- Evaluate new technologies and frameworks and recommend their adoption where appropriate.\n\n- Take ownership of production issues and drive root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.\n\n- Contribute to the overall engineering strategy and technical roadmap.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience :\n\n- 10 - 12 years of software engineering experience, with significant experience in mobile application development.\n\n- 4+ years of strong hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart.\n\n- Proven experience building and scaling production-grade Flutter applications for both Android and iOS.\n\n- Strong understanding of Flutter architecture, widget lifecycle, rendering, navigation, and performance optimization.\n\n- Expertise with state management approaches such as Bloc/Cubit, Provider, Riverpod, or equivalent.\n\n- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns such as Clean Architecture, MVVM, or similar approaches.\n\n- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and third-party service integrations.\n\n- Experience with local storage/database technologies and offline-first or resilient application design.\n\n- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and Dart isolates.\n\n- Experience with unit, widget, integration, and end-to-end testing.\n\n- Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD, automated builds, and mobile release pipelines.\n\n- Strong understanding of Android and iOS application lifecycle and platform-specific considerations.\n\n- Experience troubleshooting complex production issues, crashes, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks.\n\n- Strong understanding of secure mobile application development.\n\nPrincipal-Level Expectations :\n\n- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end technical architecture for large-scale mobile products.\n\n- Ability to make pragmatic architecture and technology decisions while balancing scalability, performance, delivery timelines, and maintainability.\n\n- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams.\n\n- Strong system-design and problem-solving skills.\n\n- Ability to influence engineering practices without relying solely on formal authority.\n\n- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.\n\n- Proven ability to mentor and develop senior engineers and technical leaders.\n\nGood to Have :\n\n- Experience with native Android/Kotlin or iOS/Swift development.\n\n- Experience with Firebase, Crashlytics, analytics, push notifications, deep linking, and remote configuration.\n\n- Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms.\n\n- Experience with modular Flutter applications and monorepo architectures.\n\n- Experience with app performance monitoring and observability tools.\n\n- Experience building applications at significant scale.\n\n- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong technical portfolio.\n\nWhat We're Looking For :\n\nWe are looking for someone who is hands-on, technically strong, and architecture-minded - someone who can write production-quality Flutter code while also shaping engineering standards and technical direction. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating at both levels: deep in the code when required and working across teams to solve larger engineering problems.\n\nEducation :\n\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
