This role blends strong individual ownership with thoughtful influence - helping shape the product while continuously raising the quality of how we design and build together, including through responsible use of AI-powered tools.\nWhat You'll Do:\nOwn end-to-end design for key BFF initiatives, translating product goals and user insights into thoughtful, high-quality experiences that support healthy, equitable friendships.\n\nPartner closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define problems, explore opportunities, and deliver solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.\n\nLead design discovery and execution across the full process - from concept exploration and prototyping to detailed interaction and visual design - with a strong bias toward learning and iteration.\n\nApply strong systems thinking to ensure designs are consistent, scalable, and aligned with Bumble’s broader design language, contributing to shared patterns and design system evolution.\n\nUse AI-powered design and research tools to accelerate exploration, prototype ideas, and synthesize insights, while applying human judgment and care to final decisions.\n\nCommunicate design rationale clearly and confidently, using storytelling and data to build alignment and move teams forward with purpose.\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally, take ownership of your work, and adapt plans with an agile mindset as priorities evolve.\n\nChampion inclusive design practices and role-model Bumble values of Respect and Excellence in how you design, collaborate, and deliver.\n\nAbout You:\nTypically requires 6-8 years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills.\n\nStrong experience designing consumer-facing digital products, with a portfolio that shows end-to-end ownership and thoughtful problem-solving across mobile-first experiences.\n\nDeep skills in interaction design, visual design, and UX principles, with the ability to balance craft, usability, and speed in a fast-moving environment.\n\nProficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools, and comfort working across multiple levels of fidelity - from early concepts to polished, production-ready designs.\n\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers, and researchers, taking ownership while working toward shared outcomes.\n\nExperience using AI tools to support design workflows, research synthesis, or ideation, with curiosity about how AI can responsibly enhance product design.\n\nA clear, empathetic communicator who can give and receive feedback constructively and contribute to a culture of learning and continuous improvement.\n\nA people-first mindset, grounded in Bumble values like Curiosity and Courage, and a commitment to designing inclusive experiences that positively impact members’ lives.\n\nAbout Us\nBumble Inc. is the parent company of Bumble Date, BFF, and Badoo.
