Making a difference to the lives of our customers each and every day.\nHow you’ll help us make health happen:\nWe're looking to appoint a seasoned buyer to help support our procurement. This is a highly commercial role combining a high degree of stakeholder engagement with the need to prioritise and be self motivated. The Buyer is accountable for their specific category, with responsibility to ensure products and services are sourced competitively and cost effectively which includes identifying and delivering cost savings. \nIn addition, the job holder will:\nDevelop and maintains a comprehensive category/purchasing plan which has a clear savings/opportunity pipeline.\nEstablish or follows category prioritises based on benefits and opportunities and business requirements\nActively set, lead and drive the timeline for sourcing initiatives.\nLead contract negotiations on behalf of the organisation and develop negotiation plans.\nDevelop innovative solutions by challenging the status quo and business requirements.\nInterface with stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood. \nActively contribute to meetings and at events and is a Procurement advocate, positively raising the profile of Procurement throughout the organisation.\nMaintains commercial confidentiality and conduct supplier relationships with the highest standard of ethical conduct.\nKey Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:\nIdeally holds a Graduate Degree \nDesirable MCIPS qualified or is studying towards this qualification\nSourcing experience and expertise \nExperience of delivering savings through driving sourcing and category procurement activities\nExcellent communication skills\nComprehensive experience of working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a successful commercial outcome\nBenefits\nOur benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
