As a Clinical Scheduling Coordinator at Cromwell Hospital, you'll play a vital role in ensuring patients receive seamless, safe and timely access to treatment.\nHow You'll Help Us Make Health Happen\nAs the Clinical Scheduling Coordinator, you'll provide expert coordination and oversight of Theatre and Angio scheduling activities, ensuring that all bookings are clinically appropriate, operationally efficient and delivered to the highest standards.\nYou will:\nCoordinate and oversee Theatre and Angio scheduling activities across the hospital.\nReview and assess booking requests, ensuring all requirements are met prior to scheduling.\nSupport the allocation, optimisation and utilisation of theatre and procedure slots.\nCoordinate urgent and short-notice cases, ensuring timely communication with all stakeholders.\nAct as a key escalation point for complex scheduling queries and operational issues.\nLiaise closely with consultants, consultant PAs, practice managers, theatre teams and clinical support services.\nCoordinate requirements including anaesthetists, perfusionists, radiology support, specialist equipment and theatre resources.\nLead and contribute to capacity reviews, utilisation monitoring and forward planning activities.\nSupport service improvements, scheduling process enhancements and digital transformation initiatives.\nContribute to performance monitoring, governance activities and revenue optimisation through effective scheduling practices.\nKey Skills / Qualifications\nEssential\nRegistered Nurse (Adult), Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or equivalent healthcare professional qualification.\nCurrent registration with the NMC, HCPC or relevant professional body.\nExperience working within a healthcare, hospital or clinical environment.\nExperience coordinating complex bookings, patient pathways or multi-stakeholder administrative processes.\nStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships with consultants, clinical teams and operational colleagues.\nExcellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.\nStrong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.\nSound understanding of confidentiality, data quality and information governance.\nDesirable\nExperience within Theatre, Cath Lab, Angio or procedural scheduling environments.\nExperience using Compucare or a similar patient administration system.\nKnowledge of utilisation management, capacity planning and service improvement methodologies.\nUnderstanding of theatre pathways, anaesthetic requirements and radiology support processes.\nExperience supporting digital transformation or operational improvement projects.\nBenefits\nOur benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
