As a Finance Assistant, you’ll help us deliver on that purpose by ensuring our Care Home billing runs smoothly, clearly and with care.\nWorking in our Operations Finance team, you’ll support residents, families and colleagues by keeping sales ledger accounts accurate and up to date. Your work ensures invoices are correct, payments are collected sensitively and fairly, and financial processes run smoothly-so our care teams can focus on what matters most.\nYou’ll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, clear communication and a warm, human approach. It’s an opportunity to grow your skills while helping people at an important stage of their lives.\nHow you’ll help us make health happen\nManage a dedicated portfolio of sales ledger accounts for our Care Homes.\nCarry out credit control activities, following up overdue payments by phone, email or letter in a supportive and sensitive way.\nRespond to queries from residents, families and colleagues, giving clear and friendly guidance.\nWork closely with Care Home Administrators and Finance teams to maintain accurate debt positions and agree next steps where needed.\nInvestigate and reconcile account queries, explaining outcomes in simple, everyday language.\nSupport with central billing to ensure invoices are accurate and issued on time.\nReview and approve refund requests in line with policy and procedures.\nKeep detailed notes on the billing system so others have the information they need.\nContribute to departmental targets through organised, proactive and accurate work.\nKeep your personal development plan up to date and continue learning new skills.\nKey skills/qualifications needed for this role\nPrevious experience in a credit control role is essential.
