It requires focus and dedication -and as a global leader in healthcare we rely on a wide range of skills to help us achieve our ambitions.\nThis role supports the Health Services business unit (Bupa UK) and will form part of the Cromwell Hospital Billing & Credit Control team which sits within the Bupa UK Commercial & Finance team.\nThis role combines people leadership, stakeholder management and operational excellence, offering the opportunity to influence outcomes across Finance, Commercial Finance and operational teams while supporting exceptional patient and customer experiences.\nHow you’ll help us make health happen\nResponsible for managing a debt portfolio of customers, with a focus to resolving aged debt.\nBuilding good relationships with customers and liaising on a daily basis with key contacts to pursue prompt payment of invoices.\nChecking and dispatching routine letters, including a systematic review and chasing of overdue accounts by telephone.\nDiscussion with patients regarding their account and other general queries. Including management of disputes and liaising with internal departments regarding account queries.\nReviewing accounts and preparing details to be passed to collection agencies and solicitors as necessary after discussion with the Billing and Credit Control Manager.\nProvide weekly updates on all accounts to senior management.\nWorking with clients to ensure that unallocated cash is kept to a minimum.\nPreparing other tasks in line with the nature of the post as directed by the Billing and Credit Control Manager.\nTo build and maintain effective working relationships across Finance and with other colleagues across the business.\nTo undertake other projects and assignments, as required, to support the Billing and Credit Control Manager and other members of the Credit Control & Billing Teams.\nKey Skills/Qualifications needed for this role\nGood knowledge of Compucare and Report Generator\nStrong analytical skills, with the ability to search out relevant information and explanations.\nProficient in Excel, Word and Outlook\nAbility to identify and act on opportunities for improvements in processes, controls and reporting. Attention to detail and integrity checking\nAbility to challenge the status quo and an appetite to understand complex processes.\nHighly developed influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to enthuse and get the buy in of internal or external individuals.\nAbility to work to deadlines.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.\nHigh level of work organisation, self motivation, drive for performance and improvement, and flexibility in approach and attitude, with the ability to work independently.\nArticulate with strong sense of commitment to openness, honesty and integrity in undertaking the role.\nStrong Customer Service skills\nMust be flexible in their approach to work as individual and team workloads, responsibilities and associated priorities can alter at short notice.\nBenefits\nOur benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
