As part of our enterprise data platform team, you’ll help build and operate the cloud infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting and data science across Bupa.\nThis role is ideal for an engineer with hands-on Azure and/or Snowflake experience who is ready to deepen their cloud engineering skills, contribute to automation and platform operations, and work in a highly regulated, mission-driven environment.\nPlease note: This is a platform engineering role rather than a traditional data engineering position. We welcome applicants from data engineering backgrounds with strong platform/IaC skills.\nHow you’ll help us make health happen:\nSupport the design, build and maintenance of core Azure and Snowflake data platform components.\n\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, enabling repeatable and automated deployments.\n\nBuild and run CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.\n\nContribute to platform monitoring, including logging, metrics and alerting through observability tooling.\n\nTroubleshoot platform issues and escalate where appropriate.\n\nCollaborate with engineers, architects and data teams to provision secure and performant environments.\n\nContribute to documentation, runbooks and operational procedures.\n\nSupport continuous improvement by identifying enhancements to automation, performance and reliability.\n\nKey Skills & Experience\n~3+ years’ experience in platform, cloud, or data platform engineering.\n\nMandatory: Strong Terraform experience with a relevant HashiCorp Terraform certification (e.g., HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate) or equivalent demonstrable expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) delivery within cloud environments.\n\nHands-on experience with key Azure data services (e.g., Data Factory, Data Lake, Power BI/Fabric).\n\nExperience working with Snowflake or other relational cloud data platforms.\n\nExperience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.\n\nWorking knowledge of monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Application Insights.\n\nScripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation tasks.\n\nBenefits\nOur benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
