Making a difference to the lives of our customers each and every day.\nThis role sits within our Financial & Insurance Risk team and supports the Head of Prudential Risk. You’ll be part of a team that provides oversight and challenge across Bupa’s UK-regulated insurance entities and global trading operations. It’s a chance to make a real impact on how we manage financial and insurance risk, ensuring we operate within our risk appetite and regulatory expectations.\nYou’ll work closely with Finance and Actuarial teams, helping to shape our risk frameworks and support decision-making at the highest levels. This role provides you a real opportunity to contribute to the business and be valued.\nHow you’ll help us make health happen\nSupport and challenge management through oversight of all areas of our financial reporting, solvency, capital, liquidity, stress testing and insurance risk activities across Bupa’s UK and global insurance entities.\nProvide advice and guidance to Finance and Actuarial teams on risk management best practice, including around Model Risk.\nSupport the Head of Prudential Risk directly in providing technical interpretation of PRA/ IFRS rules and guidance. As well as supporting 1st line with challenge, review and insight in the construction of the SFCR, Report & Accounts, ORSA and AFH reports. Including annual, half year and quarter end Economic Capital and Solvency II submissions.\nDevelop and promote financial and insurance elements of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).\nFacilitate and support 1st and 2nd line risk management activities including RCSA, emerging risks, and incident analysis.\nDeliver deep-dive assurance activities over strategic priorities and initiatives, specifically around financial reporting.\nPromote a culture of good customer and regulatory outcomes.\nFoster a positive culture of confident and informed risk-taking through training, communication and promotion of the agreed risk framework.\nBuild strong relationships, and partnerships, across Finance, Actuarial and Risk team.\nKey Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:\nA qualified accountant or actuary (essential) with experience in insurance essential, and health insurance beneficial.\nA deep understanding of financial reporting and regulatory frameworks including IFRS 17 and Solvency II.\nExperienced in audit or risk management within an insurance business (1st, 2nd or 3rd line) or consultancy/accountancy environment.\nSkilled in analysing complex information quickly and identifying key actions\nCommercially minded with strong judgement and stakeholder management skills\nA confident communicator who can influence and motivate others\nExperienced in governance, oversight and controls\nCommitted to delivering good customer and regulatory outcomes\nAble to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration\nBenefits\nOur benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
